Assalamua'alaykum wa rahmatullaah,

I watched a few minutes of the first video.

I think its very wrong for the niqaabi sister to tell the non-Muslim woman to 'go put on some clothes' is that how to give da'wah? Is that what Muslims have to show for adab and akhlaaq? The sisters approach was blatantly insulting and dismissive.

These people marching sound like al-Muhajiroon, I have no idea if they are from that group or not, but its better to keep the likes of them off the streets IMO.

Edit: I just saw Anjem Choudary on the video ..ofcourse its al-Muhajiroon, oh dear.

Assalaam walaikum,

I watched the first video. OK....it was sad. The young woman was as covered as you will see a kufr woman. She was ignorant of what she wanted to accomplish. You find what you seek. She was looking for hate and she found it.

Change is hard to swallow. She was in culture shock.

''So by mercy from Allah , [O Muhammad], you were lenient with them. And if you had been rude [in speech] and harsh in heart, they would have disbanded from about you. So pardon them and ask forgiveness for them and consult them in the matter. And when you have decided, then rely upon Allah . Indeed, Allah loves those who rely [upon Him]''.3:159

The fact that none of us know our own fate, if we will end up in Paradise or Hell fire, doesn't actually have any implication on our belief that those who die on kufr i.e. without accepting Islaam, will end up being punihsed in hell fire.

Assalamu 'alaykum.

The niqaabi woman shouldn't have done that in the beginning, it was very rude, and the girl was only asking her questions. That would put anyone off, telling them they're naked and whatnot.

Lol, it's funny how they categorize the Muslims though.

I agree with you that is the concept of our believe ... but allah don't ask me to walk in the streets and till the people that you are kaffirs and you will go to the hell fire......

Yes it was very rude for niqaabi women to say such a thing to non Muslim and also that guy najam chudary either completely ignorant of Islamic ideology or was lying openly about sharia law. When you enter their country than you are obliged to comply with all their rules and if you think their rules are against Islam than it is " Dar-ul-harab and one should not enter in that country.

And last thing the interviewer did not want to agree that what their soldiers are doing is a crime. Yet only Muslims are titled as extremist.

Assalaam walaikum,

The sister in niqab should have asked the young woman to sit down and have a cup of coffee. What a good time to present Islam. This could have been so positive.

I ask the niqabi sister this, Sister what on earth were you thinking? Here you are making a ruckus and hurling insults. Whatever happened to the best of manners?

:salam2:

True, but no one in this video has reached the end of their life, so it is premature to assert such a thing about anyone in this documentary, let alone anyone who is still alive in the world. I believe it is better not to level such judgments, but to let that remain fully in Allah's realm.

It is good to keep in mind the hadith:
The Messenger of Allah, sallallahu 'alayhi wasallam, the most truthful, the most trusted, told us: "Verily the creation of any one of you takes place when he is assembled in his mother's womb; for forty days he is as a drop of fluid, then it becomes a clot for a similar period. Thereafter, it is a lump looking like it has been chewed for a similar period. Then an angel is sent to him, who breathes the ruh (spirit) into him. This Angel is commanded to write Four decrees: that he writes down his provision (rizq), his life span, his deeds, and whether he will be among the wretched or the blessed. I swear by Allah - there is no God but He - one of you may perform the deeds of the people of Paradise till there is naught but an arm's length between him and it, when that which has been written will outstrip him so that he performs the deeds of the people of the Hell Fire; one of you may perform the deeds of the people of the Hell Fire, till there is naught but an arm's length between him and it, when that which has been written will overtake him so that he performs the deeds of the people of Paradise and enters therein." Narrated: Abdullah bin Masud [Al-Bukhari and Muslim]

It is a real put off, especially to someone who has never had the good fortune to be introduced to anything about Islam, to be immediately labelled as a kafir and told you are destined to go to hell. It is a very insulting way to approach someone right off the bat, especially if you don't really know anything about them and have never been engaged in any conversation. We should concentrate more on interacting in a respectful manner, engaged in dawah and calling others to the beauties of Islam. People in the West are really in need of this. There is not only a very limited understanding of what Islam really is, but also a lack of realization regarding the harm and evils inherent in the way the Western society has evolved.

I have not watched the whole video, only a portion of the first part, so I can't comment on the entire story. But perhaps if the maker of the documentary had been addressed in a kind and considerate manner, in the way of our prophet, she would have become inspired about Islam. Perhaps in spite of some of these negative examples she encountered she will still be inspired to learn more about the true Islam. You never know whose heart will be turned towards Islam, who Allah intends to guide. This site is an excellent testament to that fact, as we witness people from all walks of life, even those who were prior enemies to Islam and complete disbelievers in God, turning to Islam on a regular basis.

^ Yes sister, in terms of da'wah that's fine, using hikmah, not putting people off etc, you're right, but from the persepective of `Aqeedah, what you have said doesn't change my point in the post you've quoted.

Wa-alaykum assalam wa rahmatullaah.

Assalaam walaikum,

I can only respond to the first video.

The sister in the niqab was not being feminine. As women we are gentler. I would have stopped and had coffee with the woman, as I wrote before. There needed to be some common definitions.

You do not attack because the correct words and this woman could have become a Muslim. Besides, we encourage sisters to be more productive than screaming in the streets. ( I can not believe I just wrote that, but I stick with it.)

:salam2:

Sorry to digress but this brings a question to my mind,we believe that whoever has a grain of iman inside their hearts will eventually enter paradise after being purified, right? We also believe that whoever dies in a state of kufr without accepting Islam will enter hellfire, right? We also believe that only Allah is the one who is aware of what is inside breasts, right?
So we don't have any tool to measure iman.
So ,can we say that such and such person was "apparently" a kaafir and will hence go to hellfire?
:jazaak:

PS:Someone asked me this question and this brought this question back in my mind.

Why? What was so bad about this video? It wasn't "totally" against Islam. Infact I feel the investigator was pretty fair. I though she was a complete Islamophobe, but that's what happens when you just judge the book by it's cover. The whole documentary shows she isn't "entirely" an islamophobe.

I would personally like to apology on behalf of that sister for having accused and insulted her like that. Stacey Dooley didn't deserve that. You don't see many open minded non muslims like her these days.
