The Virginity of Feelings

The virginity of feelings!

When I first heard this expression, I liked it so much. I thought how many girls and even boys need to understand the meaning of that very high concept.

The virginity of heart; that is when you keep it virgin and pure for the one who deserves by the word of God. The virginity of tongue; not to utter a word of love except for the one who deserves by the word of God. The virginity of time; not to be spent except with the one who deserves by the word of God. The virginity of imagination ; not to imagine yourself except with the one who deserves by the word of God. The virginity of thought; not to think of anything that may displease God.

My thought is that virginity of heart is when you are able to say tahlil or La ilahaillah..

You are absolutely right, brother. Your thought expresses the the highest concept of the virginity of heart.

My words are directed to boys and girls who defend their right to have love relationships before marriage, claiming that they do not do anything wrong. They consider that ther is only one meaning of virginity which is the physical one! Unfortunately, many of my colleagues at university used to do and think like that.

I was staring at that for a bit too...

no offence but i didnt get a single word u said

:p lol, this may help, by 'rou' sister mirajmom is referring to whats called 'ruh' in arabic and 'soul' in english.

um by 'naf' maybe it means the nafs or the 'self'

so basically, what it says is that... lifes true beauty can be found in the souls of human beings and not in their physical existance, and Allah (s) is the one who has access to the souls and therefore the extent of its beauty. no one else.

i may have got that totally wrong by the way! but thats my guess :D

And :jazaak: again sister farhopes, a very beneficial post.

I know what you mean. It's a great blessing that Allah encased our inner thoughts, ideas and feelings not to be revealed to people. Imagine that everyone you meet, you know exactly what his/her thoughts, feelings and ideas are!! That would be a disaster!!! You may discover some enemies, some devils, a very few angels and maybe some lovers!

However, there are some people who were granted a great deal of insight. Those are the people of great faith. They see with the Light of Allah That can break through to the inner thoughts and feelings and tell you who you are!

One of those people of great insight was Imam Ali Ibn Abi Talib, may Allah bless his face. Once a man was praising him by poetry, Imam Ali knew by his insight that the man didn't really like him and he was just a hypocrite. So, Imam Ali looked at him and said," I'm less than what you said about me , but more than what's inside your heart!"
