It is absolutely clear that when the Qur'an and sunnah spoke about gambling they were speaking about using money to bet. If we allow it to apply to when no money is involved then any recreational activity and pretty much all the rest of our life becomes haram unless you just live in a box...

Jazak'Allah everyone for their responses. At worse, playing these games for enjoyment is makrooh but that is at WORST. It can not be haram but I think when there is doubt then that thing should be avoided and insha'Allah I will try to avoid them.
