Wonderful post. There are many forms of oppression which is stated, but I'd like to include oppression due to ignorance, money, no knowledge, media, dressing according to man made laws, poverty. Some forms of oppression are direct while others are indirect.
In my opinion, whenever man forces you to something then you are oppressed, and this is different when we say we are slaves/servants to Allah swt because there is no escaping of food, sleeping, death, etc.
Dictionary.com defines oppress as:
1. to burden with cruel or unjust impositions or restraints; subject to a burdensome or harsh exercise of authority or power: a people oppressed by totalitarianism.
2. to lie heavily upon (the mind, a person, etc.): Care and sorrow oppressed them.
