Assalamu Alaikum:
I was wondering about sister JenGiove. She isn't a Muslimah but her posts reveal an inner commitment towards Deen of Allah, but only Allah knows the best. She seems to be in a transitional state between her parental religion and Deen of Allah, but Allah knows the best.
This reminds me of a man Mr.Dhingra about whom my ustad (religious guider) used to tell me. Mr Dhingra was a prosperous person running a chain of hotels. He used to visit my ustad frequently and was fully convinced that Islam is the only absolute truth and path to salvation. But he was for some unknown reasons not fully committed to submerge himself into the Islam. He inquired my ustad ''I am a Muslim by heart but not actions" and he meant actually to know what would be his destiny on day of judgement. Only Allah knows that but my ustad presented him a beautiful analogy...........
Suppose a list of candidates is called for a job interview and you manage yourself to be called for the interview. One by one candidates face the interview with desired documents (academics, experience or other certifications). Now at your call you are on interview table. The interviewer demands desired documents from you. But you fail to present any such documentations and rather stress the interviewer to recruit you. You urge the authority to get you tested (through performance post-appointment) for the job with a course time during which you can prove your capabilities and skills.
And now the interviewer tells you,''Nay it is not the place (interview) to judge you by capabilities you conceal or are unexposed but it is a place to recruit you by performance you have already shown before, if you could present documents you may be in for job and otherwise discarded".
And now in Islamic context the analysis of the analogy: Here your interview is analogous to day of judgement and documents, your deeds that you have already performed in the material world. If you urge to your Lord, you were Muslim by heart but not actions ( without documents) and desire a destiny (job) in paradise, The most Wise will refuse you for the destiny in paradise. It the place of judgement on the basis of commanded performance and not for urging paradise by mere intentions (your job capabilities and skills) what were within your heart.
Dear Sister,I do not now what circumstances prevail by you,but I hope one day InshaAllah, you will be within the fold of Islam.
Regards.
