CAIRO, (PIC)-- The Arab Doctors Union has warned that a health disaster would imminently befall the Gaza Strip and neighboring countries if urgent assistance was not expedited to the besieged Strip.

An ADU statement said that the siege would lead to spread of epidemics in the light of the lack of necessary vaccines and adequate potable water.

Meanwhile, demonstrations hit the streets of Istanbul and Amman on Friday demanding an immediate end to the siege on Gaza.

Thousands of Turkish worshippers took part in the Istanbul demonstration after the Friday congregation and warned of a humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza.

A massive demonstration in Amman and a similar one in northern Jordan called on Egypt to open the Rafah border terminal with Gaza and denounced the Arab and Islamic silence vis-à-vis the suffering of the Palestinian people in Gaza.

UNRWA: Our stores will be empty within two days

[ 07/12/2008 - 11:33 AM ]

GAZA, (PIC)-- The UN Relief and Works Agency announced that its stores in the Gaza Strip would run out of stock within two days if the Israeli occupation authority refused to allow passage of relief material into the Strip.

Adnan Abu Hasana, the UNRWA spokesman, told reporters in Gaza that the humanitarian crisis in the Strip was worsening.

He called for an international pressure on Israel to allow entry of food supplies, adding that 750,000 people in Gaza depend on food assistance.

The limited quantity of trucks allowed by Israel last Thursday was not enough, adding that 16 trucks of UNRWA humanitarian aid were allowed to enter the Strip on that day.

The situation in the Strip is "unbearable", he said, noting that electricity has been completely cut off in certain areas while electric current reaches other areas for only a few hours.

Abu Hasana said that a state of frustration, desperation and anger is spreading everywhere, and pointed to the complete collapse of economy and closure of banks due to lack of cash money.

The UNRWA spokesman said that his agency did not receive any new Israeli promises to open the crossings but hoped that calm would prevail and that all crossings would open.

I just do not understand why people do not rise in; Egipt, Saudi Arebia, Jordan, Syria, etc., and show their goverment that they do not agree what they are doing with the Palestinians. Especially Egiptans, are those people sleeping or they so scared from their goverment thet they are just watching how their neighbors are dying?? I cant believe this, this sad to see. is their eeman so weak that they do not want to help their brothers/sisters in Islam??? SubhanAllah, SubhanAllah. We need Salahhudin to rise the armee again.

SUBHANALLAH MAY ALLAH (AZA WA JALLAH) HELP OUR BROTHERS AND SISTERS OVER THERE. WHAT DID OUR BELOVED PROPHET(SALALAHU ALEIHIM WA SALAM) SAID

"All Muslims are like a foundation, each strengthening the other; in such a way they do support each other." (Abu Musa: Bukhari & Muslim)

And what do we do the opposite. We will never gain the upperhand until we unite. Until then the kufar, the yahud and those who who call themselves muslim and yet supporting the kufar well continue to humilate us.

:salam2:

Egypt should open the Rafah border terminal!!!!!!!!!!!

Is Rafah near to Gaza??

They have a big border and they did not even let Hajj Pilgrims pass this year.

And also Saudi Arabia gave visa for hajj to those in west bank under fatah but refused to give any gazan's visa for hajj. It must be from the sunnah (sarcasm)

The ziogrinch that stole the Eid

It’s morning here in Gaza. Children are waking up cold and hungry. The usual holiday presents are not anywhere to be found in their homes….
the usual holiday feast is not being prepared….. the Eid has been stolen!

There were no gifts to be bought as the stores are bare due to the siege. There is no money to buy whatever might be available due to the collapse of the local banks. There is no food available to cook the feast due to the closures.

In the Occupied West Bank, things are a little better today due to the willingness of the Palestinian Authority and former Palestinian President’s willingness to compromise every principle of the Palestinian people…. how quickly they forgot their imprisoned brothers and sisters in Gaza.

Just think about the above….. imagine your Christmas stocking being empty on Christmas morning…. imagine your Chanukah feast being canceled due to a lack of available foods…. just think about it….
AND IF YOU DON’T TRY TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT THE SITUATION YOU ARE JUST AS GUILTY AS THE ISRAELI GOVERNMENT!

Happy Holidays!
