salam aleykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatu

I will introduce myself with a few words. I'm from Holland but I'm living in Turkey since a while. Many years I was christian, but when I grow up I was not satisfied anymore in christianity. Too many questions I had and no one who could give me an answer. When I was 40 years old I leaved christianity forever. Many years after that there was no any religion in my life. I didnt hear anything about Islam. Maybe cause I was living in a little village in the east of Holland without any muslims. I didnt now anything about Islam, only the usual things from the media.

Than I decided to have holidays in a country where I didnt go before.
My family was in real shock when I told them that I want to go to Jordan.
In their eyes it was a very dangerous country with all this Arabs.

They couldnt stop me, I had to go! I had already my ticket to Amman en there was no one who was able to stop me to go there. Oh, my mam was very angry, but I told her that I was an adult woman and also my son was not happy about my decision. So, in the early spring of 2004 I went to this country. I didnt know anyone there and also I didnt know anything about this country except what I found on internet.

After a short time I met there good moslimfriends and they told me about Islam. I was so happy that my friends were able to give me all the answers I had, and many times I had to cry because deep in my heart I knew Allah called me. He touched me with his Love. He touched me with the Truth. Thatswhy I had to go to Jordan. Thatswhy I met my muslimfriends.
I was in love, in love with Islam. Everyday, every moment, I said, Alhamdullilah. And this love is growing, every day more, every day deeper.

I didnt want to go back to Holland, my wish was to stay in Jordan near my Palestinian muslimfriends and it was also their wish. I felt myself sick when I was thinking about that I have to go back to Holland. Alone, without any muslimsfriend in my area, in my village. But I had to go back, it was not possible to stay, but I promissed my friends and myself that I will be back very soon.

After one month I went again to Jordan and in company with my friends I said the shahada. I cant wait any longer. I wanted to be muslim. Immidiately I want to wear my hijab. I asked my friends to teach me about everything. I want to pray and all the time I was asking about Islam and the rulers of Islam. It was like I was a dry sponge who needed water, and I'm still have this feeling.

My friend teached me about all what a new muslim have to know. I stayed with them 3 months and it was a wonderful amazing time, an amazing family with lovely kids. In that year I went again to Jordan. And also the year after that 3 times.

In that time I was single and all the time alone in Holland. I did a lot dua the next few years and Allah accepted my prayers. He sent me a good moslimbrother from Turkey, Alhamdullilah. A year ago we married and I leaved Holland to share my life with my husband in Turkey.

Ofcourse my mom didnt like I leaved Holland. She is angry because I converted to Islam, she is angry because I went to Turkey, she is angry that I married a muslim. I explained her many times what is Islam, but till now she cant accept. You can understand that I feel sad about this and I do a lot dua for her and my son.

Every day I say, Alhamdullilah, thank You Allah, for all You gave me. For the good things and the bad things, because i learned a lot from this.

My story is not as short as I wanted. In real its more big, but I think I give you all an impression how I became to Islam.

May Allah give you all the best in your life and may Allah be pleased with all my brothers and sisters in Islam.

wa salam aleykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu.

Thank you for your words, dear brother.

This words you written I heard more before from my brothers and sisters when I was in Jordan, after my convertion. I was surprised about that, and it was hard for me to believe this. But after that I start to think about this and I also talked about this subject with my friends. They gave me a good clarification. And for me it was again one more very important reason to say, Alhamdullilah. But not only this. From this moment on I started to pray for all my brothers and sisters all over te world. Cause I know how difficult it have to be for a lot muslims to keep their imaan. My friends are from Palestine and a lot of their family are still living there. With several of them I talked and I know their problems in that country.
My heart was crying when I heard that from one of them their son was taken away on a friday morning by the Israelian military. That boy was in that moment 15 years old. Till now they dont know where he is and if they will see him back in this life. I know how difficult their life is for the most of them. No money, no good food, no any work, no medications. The most of them are ill and no one have the possibility to help them except if they have family or friends in Jordan for help with a little money. But it isn't enough.
They are muslims all their life, and especcialy the kids dont know how it is to live in a free country. When I had this knowledge I told them that their reward will be much more than I will ever have. Their suffering is too much in this dunya and for a lot of our brothers and sisters in other country's as well. I have respect for my brothers and sisters all over the world who are in most difficult situations. All this suffering muslims deserve the most biggest rewards.

I didn't revert to Islam because of the reward, anyway, I didn't know anything before about rewarding as well. I needed Allah in my life, I needed the Truth, his comfort, His help and company.

Life is not easy in this dunya. If we are living in a "free" country we will have problems as well, I know that. Holland is a "free" country for example. But very difficult to practisize Islam in the right way like it have to be.
This life is a big test for all of us. For everyone in his own way. But in despite of all what happen in our lives we can be happy to be a muslim. We have Allah and that's the most important thing. And we have eachother. We can do dua for eachother even where we are, it doesn't the matter. I feel connected with all my brothers and sisters all over the world.
Sometimes, when I'm praying I feel the suffering, I feel the doubts, I feel the affliction, the sorrows, the pain from a lot of my brothers and sisters. Then I can't stop my tears and beg Allah to help them all, so it will be more easy for them to abide everything.

Insha'allah Allah will accept all my dua I do for them and to reward them with the best place in Paradise.

May Allah forgive me if I said wrong things. And I ask forgiveness for my bad english. Insha'allah you understand what I want to say from my heart.
Only Allah know what is in our heart.

wa salam aleikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu.

nasilsin?

I dont know if u are a brother or sister, but it doesnt the matter. Do I understand u dont live in Turkey anymore?

I like Turkey too much. It's a beautiful country. I like the mountains. If I look out of my window Im looking to the mountains where is still kar (snow) on the top and I feel myself happy to be here. Sometimes I go with my husband to the mountains and we are trying to go up as far as we can. Then the view is so amazing. How Allah created this all for us. I like the little villages and the simple life of the village people.

I cannot understand why too many Turkish people leaved their country. (Ofcourse I understand why)

Iyiyim, çok teşekkürler.

I dont like areas with a lot of tourists, so I don't know anything about ski centers etc. Erzurum is in the east of Turkey? I'm living in Denizli and it is not touristic. Pamukkale is near Denizli and is famous of his healthy water. There are also a lot of tourist from everywhere.

For me is the most important to be with muslims. And you don't find them too much in touristic areas. :)
