Ukraine governing coalition collapses
The governing coalition of war-scarred and recession-battered Ukraine collapsed on Thursday after a second party in two days announced its departure from a ruling majority in parliament.
Hanging in the balance is the fate of Ukraine’s western-backed government led by embattled Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk, and the country’s $40bn international lifeline led by the International Monetary Fund,Roman Olearchyk reports from Kiev.
BANGKOK (Reuters) - Thailand's 88-year-old King Bhumibol Adulyadej is recovering from a fever but is still being treated for an infection, the palace said in a statement on Thursday.
The bulletin on the king's health from the Royal Household Bureau, the palace's second this week, said King Bhumibol, the world's longest reigning monarch, was being administered antibiotics and oxygen.
