Did Islamic states reacted to the Bosnian genocide?

this was on the news tonight. the genocide in Bosnia that was hidden for so long. subhanaAllah it made me cry when they mentioned that 8,000 young boys and elderly of 70 year olds were slaughtered and killed by hand. subhanaAllah. wallahi wallahi, we are ASLEEP!!! and look, just open your eyes people and look at the way your brothers and sisters are being treated! who are we to blame then? who brothers and sisters?!

Hmmm, did you watch some documentary that is why you opened this tread?

Well as far as I know we did recieve financial help from; Saudi Arebia, Pakistan, Iran, etc. and also the weapons or we bougth it with the money we recived from them. We also had some brothers come and fight with us.
Now regarding the slatering of 8,000 muslims in 3 days, that is another story and you have vidios about it here on TTI.

Could Islamic world done more YESSSSSSSSSSSSSS, why they didi not, dont know??????????

Aside from what brother Gazia mentioned, I don't think any Muslim country helped in a significant way. There is no such thing as Islamic state, and hence much of the 'help' the Bosnians received came from individual and group efforts. Just like many other things that the state is supposed to be reponsible for are left in the hands of individual.
Hopefully we can do better next time, may Allah forgive us all.

Well can you post that CNN documentary here???

Brother yes we could be thenkfull that more of my people did not die, but the war did not have to last 3-4 years but a year at least.
U have to understand, that we had embargo on import of arms and all was done in secret, of course because USA got the money from arabs and oil.

But since we had to import the arms trough the Croation we recieved only 1/3 of it, the rest was taken by Croats.
Now where in the world does country who is attacked got ban on importing arms???? that is crazy.

Another fact is that when we started war it was like 10 men on 1 AK-47, so when you go into fight the other 9 men waight for the one to die or get hurt to get that weapon or if they got lucky and take it from our enemy.

sadly, the brothers and sisters in bosnia have been forgotten about. all of their suffering has been covered up, keeping them out of sight and out of mind. i always felt that the American media has purposely kept the bosnians out of the media because bosnian muslims do not have the stereotypical look of what america expects a muslim to look like. for them to show a country that is blonde and blue eyed and muslim, defeats their purpose to discriminate against people that fit under what people expect muslims to look like.

think about it, there are many great muslim scholars and shayook outside of the arab nations. nations like nigeria, indonesia, malaysia, pakistan and india; yet they are never referred to by news media to add any comments or analysis. they only use arabs,( there is nothing wrong arab scholars ) as if muslims from other nations know nothing about islam. but most importantly, they don't want to show the universality of islam by showing muslims with all shades of colors and ethnicities.

But the question is did my people learn something from the war. the anser is a big NO.

And you are my brother and all Bosnians are my family... while I'm from Syria.. I am truely sorry that I did not do anything while the war was hapening. During that period I was away from the world and was very self absorbed..... I didn't even look at the news... regret those wasted years while my muslim brothers/sisters were suffering at the hands of the serbs.... Forgive me brother...

Yes they did brother, majority ot the muslims do not live where they used to live, they are mostly outside of Bosnia. There is between 500,000 - 800,000 out side, alone in the USA is about 300,000 people.
Well, the situation is good, because there is no war, but people are to greed and there is islamophobia like anywhere alse. Because of the communist rule a lot of people forgot their identity, During the War peolple start being religious and started comming back into islam, but after the war they started to deviate like they used to be. Then, we got brothers who are doing da'wa and showing people the right way to pray and practice their religion, but people do not like it, so now we got divided on those who falow Qur'an and Sunnah and those who are stick to the so called "traditional way", then division goes further where people got labeled with the "Wahabee" title, etc. I could go on for hours. Is not the worst situation, because more and more people are starting to practice islam the right way, but it should be better.

what you can do brother is help financialy the ones they need the help, or educate them, nothing alse.
