Hello
Allah is The Most High ,The All Knowing ,The one Who has perfect Wisdom ...
Quran was reveiled during the period of 23 years ,gradually ,for the purpose that it can strenghten peoples hearts and that they can understand everything step by step..
Some commands were not reveiled rigth away ,like for example the command of alchohol is haram ...First it was reveiled that there is no good in drinking alcohol ,the second that believer cannot pray if he is intoxicated and then thirdly the command came prohibiting alcohol completely ..
So you see people were prepared gradually...

COLOR="Red"]While I understand that could be the reason for back then but nowadays it's very much cut n dry there is not easing in. Why should it be an issue if Allah has proven been to chang his mind? that's not a bad thing at all. Evertime he has done it in the koran it was for the benefit of humanity and whih made him look more merciful.[/COLOR]
The answer to your question is in the Quran ,please read
{Whatever a Verse (revelation) do We abrogate or cause to be forgotten, We bring a better one or similar to it. …}[2: 106].
{And when We change a Verse [of the Qur'ân, i.e. cancel (abrogate) its order] in place of another, and Allâh knows the best of what He sends down, they (the disbelievers) say: "You (O Muhammad SAW) are but a Muftari! (forger, liar)." Nay, but most of them know not. Say (O Muhammad SAW) Ruh-ul-Qudus [Jibrael (Gabriel)] has brought it (the Qur'an) down from your Lord with truth, that it may make firm and strengthen (the Faith of) those who believe and as a guidance and glad tidings to those who have submitted (to Allâh as Muslims).} [16: 101-102].
I hope its clear for you now ...
We Muslims submit to Allah completely and to His commands ..
The previous nations were destroyed because they used to argue with their Prophets and asked too many questions ,when the message was clear to them ..
Try to focus on more important things(Onnes of God,death ,Prophets ...) rather then investigating the issue of silk, this is my sincere advice to you ...
Thank you, for that, it does make things easier to undertand. I will no longer ask about beards or Hijab. After all as Muslims you all seem to have good reasosn for doing what you do, wearing what you do ( or not wearing) I'll keep my continuing confuse of the role of the hadith to myself from now on. Thanks again
Wish you all the best
Right back at yah!
