Well my name is Molly, hence the screen name lol. I am eighteen and a senior at a catholic Highschool. I have never even MET a Muslim.. :( I very much wish to learn more about Islam. I even ordered Islam for dummies this summer :). Very good book. Some of the passeges were very moving. Well I would like to talk and learn more. I tried a couple of chat rooms but No girls would talk to me and it just seemed shady. I hope this is where i am supposed to post this.

Peace and welcome to you. I am very glad to hear that you have been inspired to learn more about Islam. May God bless you and guide you on your journey. I hope you will find the book helpful (I have never read it myself, but I have heard good things about it). And also to learn more about Islam you can try reading the Quran and reading some biographies about the prophet Muhammad, salla aleyhi wa salaam. And of course, if you have any specific questions or concerns be sure to post them here, there are many brothers and sisters here who will be happy to try to help with whatever clarifications you might need.

Thankyou... I just know that what the media shows is so wrong. I have this one teacher who used to work in a (like muslim place of worship) and I cant spell it... but she is really narrowminded.. it was sad i wanted to learn from her... I just want to talk to the people that would really know :)

It can be hard to find good examples of the religion these days. This website has a lot of good and beneficial information, I hope you will investigate and read some of the articles about Islam and also get some more books about Islam, that should help. Also if any questions come up you should be able to post them here and get some helpful replies, inshaAllah.

Islam is quite simple really, and the declaration of a Muslim is to testify that there is no god but God, and to testify that Muhammad is a messenger of God. So you can take your time and investigate the religion and the prophet, peace be upon him, and come to your own conclusion.

Just about everything is Islam boils down to belief in and worship of the One Almighty Creator, alone and without partner, and enjoining good and forbidding evil. It is truly the most beautiful religion and complete way of life I have ever encountered, and I hope you will find the same.

Please ask us questions. We are open minded. As you are a senior in high school next year you could take a course in Islam.

i didnt think of that! I should! well not if I go to the community college... but when i go away.... WEll i would have to go to a really big school.... I was kind of considering a baptist school.....idk but thats a really great idea!
