How to make time to pray?

Salam all my brothers and sisters. Thanks so much to all the wonderful information you've given me. I'm wondering how in the work-a-day world that I live in, I don't have time for a decent lunch at work much less being able to pray 3 times a day at work, and I believe that I wouldn't be allowed to take the time to pray, (regardless of the fact I don't know HOW to properly pray to Allah, SWT).

Could someone provide tips on how to incorporate prayer into their daily lives in an office environment please?

Salam,
Matthew

I don't know what your job is, but depending on what it is and what kind of person your boss is, could you ask for just a few minutes to pray quickly? I know that in the US, they can't fire you for your religion and some employers will freely give you the time for religious observances. I was being interviewed for a job once (which I didn't take), and the person interviewing me was giving me an overview of the place, and said, "I don't know your religion but if you need time to pray or do whatever, just ask and we'll let you." I have no idea if that's a legal thing, or just a company thing, but you could always ask if you think it's possible and if the nature of your job would allow you to do so..

dear matthew,

My father works 9 to 5. And the job he is in the company will not give him time to pray. So what he does is during his lunch break he prays his afternoon prayers (in time before asr which is the prayer in between afternoon and dusk prayer) and when he finishes at 5 immediately he completes his asr prayer. he is home for the maghrib (dusk prayer) and Isha (evening prayer) and thus he manages to pray 5 times a day.

If your job is like 9 to 5 with a lunch break you can do the same insha allah(god willing). :)
