yes i know there are muslims in america but those are the exceptions. Vast majority of Americans are kaafirs and therefore from an islaamic point of view 2. is applicable here. however, many of these kaafirs may not have heard of islam or maybe searching for the truth sincerely so they are also an exception.

I know you were not talking about my family but you are talking about Egyptians who happened to be my family members.

That is the reason you cannot generalize as how the disbelievers do.When there is a Muslim did a mistake or a sin,..they say Islam is the one teaching them or they call all Muslims terrorist.


NO one is perfect..If I were to see how Muslims are..then I wouldn't have accepted Islam..but i know i do not need to see how humans are behaving.

We have to say things more specifically...we do not need to put everyone under one bundle and tag them with bad names.

my post wasnt addressed to the Eygptions (from your family or your husbands family or beyond) who are proper muslims which includes hating kaafirs for their kufr and loving muslims for their adherence to islaam.

however it's clear as broad daylight that majority of egyptions dont fall into this category. Most Egyptians welcome foreign kaafir tourists with open arms but failed to oppose the blockade on gaza (and in fact effectively supported the blockade)

I know your point of view as well as sister Jennifer's point of view. we need to be balance. There are times we can speak what we think is right, there are times it is better to remain silent. we might don't know some people and what they are up to. so let us don't judge them and please give them the help they need.

Islam is growing fast in America and how do u think these people have converted to Islam? do you think they will convert if they know most Muslims hate Americans?

Don't take this as a personal attack. But.. There are people who do Kufr with the label of Islam in India and Pakistan (is there anything worse than that ?).. In India, we have villages upon villages indulged in kufr.. So they aren't any good and I have to hate them ?

And aren't there drunkards and fornicators in our country too ? This logic doesnt take you anywhere.

If our pious predecessors had such hatred for 'kaafirs', my country would have never been graced with the beauty of Islam. Many of them undertook voyages and sacrificed so much of their time, just to spread the deen among people.

Here is someone who has come on our boards to learn about Islam and you have for some unknown reasons indulged her in a political debate which brings no benefit to either you or her. Instead it just gives a very dark and incorrect perception of the way muslims view non-muslims.

I apologise for all that has been written here. Usually our boards are better moderated. This is a real exception, let me tell you that.

The mods stamp out all the 'we hate (insert country/race)' stuff on here.

And also most of us don't harbor sentiments that have been expressed by certain board member on this thread. I personally don't understand what has lead him to make such attacks when our home countries aren't that much better off either (in respect to what he has mentioned).

I would personally advise you to stay away from the political threads on this forums and indulge yourself in learning the core beliefs and teachings of Islam. This would be the knowledge that can change your life and help you establish a 'one of a kind' relationship with your Creator, the Lord of the Heaven and Earth, Allah.

Threads such as these really aren't really going anywhere. People are letting out their personal gripes about XYZ country or XYZ religion because they feel they are getting hard done by them. Most of it is not even in line with teachings of Islam (such as hating other people etc).

So why spend valuable time reading someone's *personal opinion* which could be incorrect, when there are threads upon threads filled with articles and books written by knowledgeable and acclaimed scholars ?

Again I apologize for all that you have been put through on this thread. People should really know better than taking out their hatred on a web forum.

I woudl defend anyoen who is being hurt whether it is a Muslim or non Muslim.There was once a Muslim brother called a new revert sister that she is lieing about her being a Muslim and so on. I defended her. Search for the thread if you have time. She is a Muslim and I defended her.

Why do you think I need to agree with you when you are not speaking based on quran and hadith.Plz bring forward the evidences.

IN quran according to Yusuf Ali's translation...he said do not take disbelievers as friends..but his translation is wrong..the word awliyaa is not friend but it means protectors..the same word awliyaa was translated into protectors in other verses in his translations and he did not use the word friend by the way.

I am doing what the prophet pbuh taught us to do. Bring forward a single evidence where he treated non Muslims badly...that is the reason he pbuh is the final messenger and has the most beautiful imaan.

Doing dawah or not doing dawah is not the issue. At least we need morals even if we dont hv faith. Morals doesn't allow us to insult nor mess with others dignity.

May way of think is not the same as urs. I lived as a KAFIR for 22 years.i was treated in the best manner by my friends even though others descriminated me.. i see the good side.. i hv the choice what i need to take and what i need to leave....I was given the free will by Allah.

I struggled very hard to be the person who I am today. I appreciate each moment of being a Muslim. I can feel and understand others struggle as well.

Why do you think it is easier for reverts to do dawah? Think about it. because we can feel what they are feeling. as simple as that.
