On the authority of Omar bin Al-Khattab, who said : I heared the messenger of Allah salla Allah u alihi wa sallam say :

"Actions are but by intention and every man shall have but that which he intended. Thus he whose migration was for Allah and His messenger, his migration was for Allah and His messenger, and he whose migration was to achieve some worldly benefit or to take some woman in marriage, his migration was for that for which he migrated."

Assalamo alikom, dear sister, Halah

Jazaki Allah khair for this great Hadeeth.:)
I think that this Hadeeth shows us that no one can deceive Allah. It's easy for the hypocrites to deceive people, but not Allah who knows the secret of our hearts and what's more hidden. So intention is very importan for our deeds. In every deed we should reform our intention and devote it only to Allah. May Allah purify our intentions and make it mere for His face .:tti_sister:

I think that this hadith is very important for every muslem , we should learn it and try to correct what is within before doing anything ....and we should renew our intentions since some times we start doing things for Allah swt then our own ego or satan find a way to ruin what is in our hearts.

:jazaak: for this reminder.
For a believer, his intentions are better than his deeds, For a disbeliever, his deeds are better than his intentions.
Intentions keep changing and making them khalis (sincere) is extrememly hard. Strong will-power is needed. I've read and experienced as well that nothing is heavier on a soul than sincerity.
When one does reach that level of sincerity, his deeds become self-less. These type of people are called mukhlis. When among people, they are not recognized. When they are not present, no one looks for them, They are the ones who are the light of guidance. :subhanallah: May Allah SWT grant us the tawfeek to reach the level of the mukhliseen. Ameen.
