Israel is the name of one of Allah's (Glorified He may be) prophets.

Quran 3:93
All food was lawful to the Children of Israel, except what Israel made unlawful for himself before the Taurât (Torah) was revealed. Say (O Muhammad (peace be upon him)) "Bring here the Taurât (Torah) and recite it, if you are truthful."

it is one of the names of prophet Ya'koob (Jacob), peace be upon him.
