Leave The Future Alone Until It Comes

Surah An-Nahl
1.
The Event (the Hour or the punishment of disbelievers and polytheists or the Islâmic laws or commandments), ordained by Allâh will come to pass, so seek not to hasten it. Glorified and Exalted be He above all that they associate as partners with Him.

Be not hasty and rushed for things that have yet to come to pass. Do you think it wise to pick fruits before they become ripe? Tomorrow is non-existent having no reality today, so why should we busy ourselves with it? Why should you have apprehensions about future disasters? Why should you be engrossed by their thoughts, especially since we do not know whether we will even see tomorrow?
The important thing to know is that tomorrow is from the world of the unseen, a bridge that we do not cross until it comes. Who knows, perhaps we might never reach the bridge, or the bridge might collapse before we reach it, or we may actually reach it and cross safely.

For us to be engrossed in expectations about the future is looked down upon in our religion since it leads to our having a long-term attachment to this world, an attachment that the good believer shuns. Many people of this world are unduly fearful of future poverty, hunger, disease, and disaster such thinking is inspired by devil.

Surah Al-Baqarah
268.
Shaitân (Satan) threatens you with poverty and orders you to commit Fahshâ (evil deeds, illegal sexual intercourse, sins etc.); whereas Allâh promises you Forgiveness from Himself and Bounty, and Allâh is All-Sufficient for His creatures' needs, All-Knower.

Many are those who cry because they see themselves starving tomorrow, falling sick after a month, or because they fear that the world will come to an end after a year. Someone who has no clue as to when he will die (which is all of us) should not busy himself with such thoughts.

Since you are absorbed in the toils of today, leave tomorrow until it comes. Beware of becoming unduly attached to future prospects in this world.

Assalamo alikom

Only those who are very wise, knowledgeable and pious are used to leaving it to Allah!!

Most people's worries and even diseases come from their overwhelming thoughts about their future in this world. Money, status, marriage, children, health etc.

The only future we should care so much about is our future in the Hereafter, simply because this is gonna be the real future and the real life for us.

Jazaki Allah khair, sister. I enjoyed reading your article :)

A perfect example of people who rushed the future before it came is the Jews! They created Israel before their messiah arrived!! Some religious Jews have publicly said that the state of Israel is a sin against God for that reason.

I don't think that Jews care about any messiah, They created Israel by , conspiracy, treason, stealing, brutality and exploitation of our coma. Israel has nothing to do with any religion. I watched some rabbis contracting marriage for those ( homo.....) at Al-Aqsa Masjed. :astag:
