Man Stabs Son Who Wore Hat In

USA - Baltimore police say a 58-year-old man stabbed his teenage son who refused to take off his hat at church.

The father and his 19-year-old son got into an argument.

That's when police say the father went to a car and got a knife. Police say he stabbed his son in the left buttock and fled.

The son was taken to a hospital for treatment. The father's name was withheld pending his arrest.

How come this is not blown out of proportion and shown how 'horrible' christianity and christians are ? ( btw. I'm not saying that they are horrible and actions of one individul do not represent how true christians should act, but when things are done by those associated with Islam by name or place of origion they are on the news all over the world.

May Allah guide all those who blame Islam for some improper behaviour of some people.

my brother there have been many cases of non-muslims being a lot more abusive to their own children, i remember a horribe case of a girl named Genie whose mother kept her locked in a basement when she was little. thats why they need to have child services or social services. sometimes children are raped by their own parents. sometimes mothers kill their own babies.

but we recognize that not all westerners are like that. and i think westerners are also opening their eyes to the fact that Islam is not bad at all.

the problem is that the media is corporate, so they need to make money, so they distort facts to portray bad images. then they invite muslim scholars to their talk shows or mention muslims in a bad light so that audience viewership is increased. the local paris hilton or snoop dogg news just doesn't attract people anymore so they seek new ways.

they plot and plan, but Allah too plots and plans, and He is the Best of planners . they sought to give Islam a bad name, people became curious about the religion, studied it and even more people accepted Islam. the Lord really does work in mysterious ways.

yeah. if it was a crime committed by a muslim then you could listen and watch the news on CNN, BBC and all other news media worldwide. that's what the western world are. they just go on ill propaganda against islam and muslim world to prove that islam and muslims are cruel and fundamental . but now nobody moves. they don't say that a radical fundamental christian killed his son. damn the christian an jewish media.

It's not just a case of abuse, it's religiously driven since his son did not take his hat in church.

This is very true. Subhanallah haters plot and plan against Islam, but the truth and the Light of Islam sooner or later become obvious. Truth is obvious from a lie.

Many intelligen non-muslims understand that bad things committed by some people are not justified by our religion. But these intelligent people went and studied rather than believed the media. Some lazy and hateful people don't want to put any effort into learning how to tell apart things that are according to Islam and those that are not according to Islam.

on the opposite if a muslim would do it this would be a big news

and that news bar was on the CNN bar for week and coming up after every other news ,it was like there for all day ,,,,,, well amazingly these things keep happening over and over again ,,,all over the world but why those are not given equal treatment ,i was quite amazed , but its obvious why that news was there for so much time ,and why so many programs on it , you got the idea right,,,,
and then you have analysist,,,,,( good programms to call in few idiots and tell around there stupidity and give really air to the news and propaganda ) and good news people would believe that and start talking,and you have angry protests etc,,funny human race,,,

I just wanted to say that, as muslims, it doesn't feel good to spread such news around. When the media portrays ALL the muslims to be like terrorists, we feel bad and frustrated, don't we?? Now, if we are going to show our hate to the christians in this way, then it will only make matters worse. We need to fight them not with the media but with our hearts and our Imaan. Islam doesn't teach us to behave in such a manner...... So don't celebrate such a sad accident, please! What the father did was wrong but we shouldn't just assume that he did this act just because his son was wearing a cap at the church.

I think the intention of our brother is (pls correct me if I'm wrong brother Musulmanin) to share with everyone that to so far we have heard, read and seen in the mainstream media all the negative reports about muslim's conduct only (at least most of the time). We seldom hear, read or see non-muslim bad conduct being made headlines more often. Now there is prove that there are black sheep in every communities not only in Islam.

Again, sister, the purpose of this post was to show hypocracy of most of the media and not the unfortunate accident that happened.

After watching what the media has on Islam, some muslim may think that bad things are only ( or primarily) commited by muslims. People need to know that bad things are done by representatives of any faith. And as one brother here said there is black sheep in any community.

I think some people misunderstood the interntion of this post.
