Questions on why??

I always get this question: "Why Islam?" from both my muslim friends and especially my family. They just cant figure out how somebody with my upbringing and environment would even be considering Islam, let alone converting. My parents are really upset to the point that they think they raised me "wrong." Or if they did a big mistake to me that I decided to "rebel"

It is a bit hard for me to answer since I can give a lot of reasons but they can't seem to accept. Probably it's just something that you feel "right". You may not need a hard reason to do something, but you do it anyway because it just feels "right" in the heart.

Turn the question a little political, ask them "Why not Islam?" You can hear what they say and clear their misconceptions. Islam is merely more than just a religion, it is a system. A system that gives both men and women rights, how to conduct your behavior, live a righteous and civilized life, peforming abulation (wudu) before praying and praying 5 times a day, and many many more. If they are so curious, tell them to look up information and read literatures about it.

Why Islam...because Allah has called you. When Allah calls you can not retreat. The moth dares not leave the light. The nightengale sings because she has no choice but to praise Allah...The sun sets because that is what Allah has commanded...the moon in her beauty follows the sun because of Allah. As a great poet wrote when you pass by the house of Love and you hear the music of Love you can not but run inside the House of Love....why Islam...because it is the begining of the Reality.

Why Islam....??

The Pure, Innate Nature with which the whole universe was originated.
From the very beginning to the end and after the end, the whole universe is continuously glorifying the One Creator, the whole universe is continuously intoning with Monotheism. The mountains, the oceans, the wild beasts in the desert, the trees in the forest, the birds in the bushes, the beautiful flowers on the branches, the drops of rain, the thunder, the stars, the embryo inside the uterus and the angels in the sky. they are all intoning the same rhyme:

"There Is No God But He, Allah"

How can we become in dissonance???!!!!
