Reading Quran before Zawal time

I have been reading threads since many days, and this is my first thread.
My question is, can I read the quran before zawal time (here in india we consider zawal time between 12:00 to 12:35 pm). Reason for asking this question, because I have soft copy of Quran in office desktop, whenever I get time, I recite it.

Please clarify my doubts

Well..as far as I know, ALHAMDULILLAH any person can read Qur'aan any where any time.........
There is no prohibition on reading Qur'aan...

By the way I didnt understand what Zawal Time is???? whats that???

From my limited knowledge of islam, I have never heard anyone condemn a time from reading the Quran except for a couple situations
One would be while using the washroom, another would be while in the shower.
There are possibily more scenarios but thats all that has came to my head at the moment.

Anyways it is also possible you mean reading the Quran right out the book, rather then reciting it.
In that case I have never heard someone condemn reading the Quran at any time of the day... Just don't forget to make wudu before doing so .

Zawal time means noon time from 12:00pm to 12:35 pm, that is when sun will be exactly on our head.
Zuhr time starts after zawal time . Hope you are clear now

The general principle is that the Qur'aan can be recited at any time, so if a person was to claim that it is haraam or even makrooh to recite it at a particular time, needs to bring proof either from the book of Allaah or from the sunnah of the Messenger of Allaah :saw2:

never heard of that.Quran recitation can done anytime,anywhere if we are clean.

Agreed upon. It amuses me when I heard it should not be recited after Asr yet they have no Daleel for it.

They are probably confusing the times we are not allowed to offer voluntary prayers with quran recitation wa Allaahu a'lam.

I have also heard that it is makrooh to offer any nawafil salah between asr and maghrib

Praying voluntary prayers is forbidden during sunrise, sunset and zawal. But that doesn't extend to Quran.

I think people just get confused ..
