I am new to Islam and have not taken my Shahada yet.... I am learning the prayers and have even memorized Surah Fatiha but I am concerned about my pronunciation. If I make a mistake will it be an offense against Allah? I want to do it right any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Assalamu Aleiku,

May Allah guide you to the right path.Ameen!
Don't be so concerned about not pronouncing it right, we all non-arabic speaking people have/had that problem. Just keep practicing and you will get it right, inshAllah(God willing) and welcomeeeeeeeee:SMILY209:

Brother this will not be an offence against Allah, Insha Allah. Allah is not unjust. He is all-knowing and wise. He knows what is in your heart and he is well aware of your intentions. Rather your reward will be multiplied as you will put more effort. There is a beautiful Hadith (Saying of Prophet) regarding this. I can not not remember exact words at the moment. I am sure someone else will post that insha Allah.

I would suggest you to take it easy and learn slowly step-by-step. Best of luck with your journey to Islam. May Allah help you

I would first like to congratulate you to learning about Islam but i would highly encourage you to firstly to take your shahada because that is what makes you a Muslim.

if you believe in your heart that you believe in Allah alone with no partners and you believe in his last messenger everything after that will fall into place with practice and patience and when you take your shahada i would ask the imam or a brother to help you with it and help you to learn to pray i am sure they will be happy to help you And Allah is understanding and watching everything your going through so just try your best inshallah :hijabi:

i too cant speak arabic though born muslim i find it hard to pick up learning supplications but i find it is easier when you hear someone saying it and you following along after them and inshallah you will get the hang of it.
