My name is Ibtissem (french with tunisian origin) , 22 years old and I live in Paris (France!).
My parents are native muslims but not really an exemple for me, they were muslim just by name, when I decided to put on the hijab, my father was ashamed and my mother stop talking to me...
I resisted fissabililah and continued my apprentissage of the great religion.
Now all my 5 sisters are wearing hijab and my mother too, sobhannAllah, she believe in me when I'm trying to explain things about Islam to her!
my father didn't change...
I was a fashion designer but I stopped to "fear" ( I don't know the good word in english!) Allah.
I'm surfing on internet to discover more and more about Islam and muslims.

Subhanallah! I am so happy for you and your family. Just pray and ask Allah to help your father. Sometimes, a family member has to take initiative and practice and understand the purpose of his/her life and that is what you did! May Allah reward you and continue to rain His blessings on you.

:salam2: welcome to TTI and God bless you sis on your courage.....not an easy decision to put on hijab when our own friends and family dont support us. Your reward is with Allah swt and he swt will take care of you. Be strong my sister.
