Salat Technicality Questions

I've actually been meaning to ask this for a while, because I've been confused on this matter for quite some time.

1. Let's say Fajr ends at 6:45am. But I wake up at 6:45am. Prayer is forbidden during sunrise, so can I still quickly pray my Fajr, or do I wait 20 minutes till after sunrise is over and then pray?

2. Yesterday I had an appointment somewhere and had to quickly leave the house knowing I wouldn't return till quite later. Zuhr time was just starting, so I prayed 4 rakah fard, and left the house. But my work ended sooner than expected and I was able to get back home with so much time to spare till the end of Zuhr. My question: If I want to pray the Sunnah for this prayer, do I only pray the 2 sunnah rakat which come after the fard, or can I also pray the 4 sunnah rakat which are prayed before the fard? Basically, can I pray out of order, or is that not right?

1) Fardh prayer can be offered during the period of sunrise as well as the Sunnah. However, you should not pray extra Nawafil during this time.

Some scholars also hold the view that Tahiyyat Ul Masjid can be prayed when someone enters the mosque before Maghirb Adhaan (this is also a prohibited time for prayer).

2) Yes you can pray all of your missed sunnah prayers after the fardh.

I see that you are looking for some verification of the answers provided. I have heard the first question answered on Ask Huda. I will try and get you the links if I can locate them.

1) Yes you have to pray Fajr asap, because the forbidden times only apply for voluntary prayer and anyone who says that it is forbidden to pray even obligatory prayers at that time, needs to bring forth the proofs to support their view

2) Yes you can make it up whenever your able to

:salam2: sister,

If you have to verify brother thariq's and my answer to your first question, you need to download and view Ask huda 19th January.

Download link can be found here.

You will find your answer approximately 6 minutes into the video.

Yes Brother, Hanafi Scholars say the same as you have said but i heard Shaykh Asim Al Hakim saying the same thing as said by Brother Thariq and BrotherInIslam. so i follow what seems to be easier for me (Shyakh Asim Al Hakim's Fatwa).

What is the evidence of these scholars for making the ruling you have mentioned ?

A fardh prayer has to be prayed as soon as one remembers that he missed it (in case of forgetting) or wakes up (in case that he couldn't wake up at the time of the prayer).

The forbidden times of prayer only forbid nawafil. Obligatory prayers must be prayed immediately if the person missed the time for that prayer.

If one comes to the masjid to pray fajr and finds the congregation underway, he has missed praying sunnah. But it is ok for him to pray that sunnah after the obligatory prayer is completed.

Sunnah prayers can be made up if one forgets or is occupied even after another salah enters, and even if it falls into a time when praying nawafil is forbidden:

There are no excuses in leaving out prayers :)

And Allaah knows best.
