Saudi king in hospital for back operation.

The ruler of the kingdom suffered a herniated disc late last year requiring surgery in the United States

Riyadh: Saudi HM King Abdullah is in hospital in Riyadh for a back operation, the official Saudi Press Agency said on Sunday.

"The custodian of the two holy mosques,HM King Abdullah, arrived today evening at King Abdul Aziz Medical City in Riyadh to undergo a surgery to re-tighten the binding connector around the third vertebra," the agency said in an English-language report.

The ruler of the kingdom, who is thought to be 88 years of age,
suffered a herniated disc late last year requiring surgery in the United States.

That can only be answered individually. What is your position on what is going on in the world. What is your understanding of the Quranic verses telling Muslims not to take Jews and Christians as allies and friends. Excellent video posted on A Question under the lounge.
Some are very angry with the alliance and consider it a betrayal to Muslims. He is the same king who has the most political prisoners in his country...I have to find out where in Sharia it states we can hold persons as political prisoners.

im sorry for my questioning and maybe will get me in trouble...but there are people openly support al qaieda..who kill many innocents...those who support gadaffi rather than those he is oppressing,yet have bad thoughts for a king who is the custodian of the two holy mosques and has done much to improve the are for all muslims and has in fACT DONE ALOT FOR HIS PEOPLE..more than the last king over 20 years

this post i know will cause controversy...but ibelieve islam to be a reigion of peace not hate and killing

i know many hate gulf countries ..maybe envy too ,because of relations with west
yet they are not killing their own people..

yet a leader who is killinjg his own people could be applauded because he stands agauinst wesrt

Sister, We have to look at our pious predecessors to see how they reacted. Therein lies our answers.

A Muslim heart can not have two sides as a coin. The Muslim heart has to serve Allah.

Al-Qeida is a covert operation. It is CIA based. Not my opinion. The slaughter of the innocents is not Muslim. Why I can not get that through to people amazes me. You have a decade of research to backup what I am saying.

Given all of that we have to understand that the leaders of any government have to decide who they serve. Now, I am being politically neutral. Given that we have to look at each leader of a Muslim nation and judge what they are doing. Our guidance is the Law of Allah.

I have no power, I have little knowledge, I can not make the decisions for anyone. However, I can ask.

Thus, let us gain knowledge from our brothers and sisters with knowledge.

Ghaddafi, Bashar alAssad, and other Arab leaders do not follow Islâm. I don't support them. May Allâh disgrace them. As for alQaida, I dont really support what they do. There are good things they do, but they also do bad things. But I am not in Jihadi forums supporting them. I have talked to their likes and there are many things I disagree with them. InshaAllah, when the Afghan war ends we will see the Taliban having a serious talk with AQ. They got their land bombed and still bombed.

About king Abdullah of KSA, then he is a so-called ''Key Ally on The War on Terror'' according to the US. Is a Muslim supposed to be a Key Ally?

Good post! It's really ''FUNNY''! It's Major Kufr to ally with kuffâr against Muslims. And yet we dont hear those fake imams we have here speak about their disbelief. If they cant do their job, then let them go to their families!

I'm not against the saudi king, after all i got nothing to do with saudi arabia except that it is the land of two masjids and that it is the land where muslims live.

I'm only against his evil action of providing lands to the military forces of kuffars(among others). Does the fact that many leaders are corrupt make this action of king any better? by Allah if i had the option of getting this issue straight to the king of saudi I would have done it. how can you openly support this action of the king? Please don't take my stand as like the one who calls the whole kingdom of saudia itself a taghoot kingdom.

Give you an islaamic leader?? Try numerous scholars of saudia who is striving for the sake of Allah, enjoining good and forbidding evil, may Allah preserve them. They will make better ruler than the king of saudia. and I'm not in support of any leaders opposing west. (in fact i cannot think of any).

as a muslim i ask Allah. may Allah rectify his condition

if and only if that post is directed to me...
i didnt talk bad about imaams i talked in favour of scholars.
i don't hold any good opinions about those killing their people for reasons other than those that Allah made it lawful and as a muslim we are by default against the evil doings of any such leaders
i'm not their judge! agreed.
NO! My country doesn't have a perfect leader and i wouldnt care much about the kuffar government in my country.

How all these come in the way of disliking the evil action of a ruler? (don't want to write much as i have my reasons and the fear of the king/mods of the forum are not among them)

Well,
Everybody got a choice to believe what they thought they see and heard on the News and t.v
For all we knew this is not new,
as to corrupt and made a controversy
is all in the world of reporters.
