Assalaamu'alaykum.
Say you were living your life and planning your future ahead. Then all of a sudden you are told you have an illness, e.g. cancer and were told you have less than a month to live.
1) How would you react?
2) How would you spend the rest of your days?
3) What would you change about yourself?
(Answer the above first, even if you don't write it in this thread).
Then, what would you do if your doctor was wrong and you didn't die. You were cured from the illness and the doctor told you that you can go ahead and live a normal life.
Would you go back to your old ways or would this incident be a wake up call for you to take your life seriously, worship Allaah and seek His pleasure?
(Be honest with yourself, even if you don't write it in this thread).
And when some hurt touches man, he cries to his Lord (Allaah Alone), turning to Him in repentance, but when He bestows a favour upon him from Himself, he forgets that for which he cried for before, and he sets up rivals to Allaah, in order to mislead others from His Path. Say: "Take pleasure in your disbelief for a while: surely, you are (one) of the dwellers of the Fire!"
Surah Az-Zumar, ayah 8.
May Allaah reward you all.
