"and if any one saved a life, it would be as if he saved the life of the whole people." (Qur'an 5:32)

Doctors out there are saving lives :hijabi:

This way you'll gain sawab, AND your high-amount wages! :shymuslima1:

its true the reward is huge, but your brains gotta operate above ordinary. In other words you gotta be a straight A student. My biology teacher told us that the other day.

:salam2: I'm not a doctor but I've been asked BY doctor's why I wasn't...does that count? I AM however in the medical field. I am a nationally certified Phlebotomist and a certified CNA and patient care technician.

Jen: Say you were to help people, (give them medicine or even contact them for medical reasons) this would save their lives in my opinion, medicines cures the illness and contacting them with a smile is charity!

:salam2: Well then, Call me a doctor because in my culture, I do give out medicine and "diagnose" problems...though I don't call myself a healer in my culture...only the community can say that.....

...its a tradition thing...

salam alaikum everyone

hmm....my elder sis is a doctor, and I've seen her.........to study a lot, to sleep less, to take rest a few, didnt eat properly.....anyways but after sometime these became a habit.......

anyways, I'm doing my masters in Biomedical Engineering, come on man it deals so vastly with biology, uff.....even if we have doctors from Hospitals who take classes......

I was good at biology, hamdu li Allah, even I'm now, but in this age/state it is not much good to memorize so many weird names....aghhh

as it is a noble job, so not everyone can become a doc and even someone becomes doc, he/she doesnt become a good doctors, where there is more reward, that effort must be tough than the usual

wa-llahu ta'la alim

JazakAllah khair

:wasalam:,

but i think it has to do with the intentions. if you want to be a doctor to cure people for the sake of Allah....you will get reward inshallah.

but i have only seen people choosing medicine for status, money, etc. so still will the person be rewarded?

:salam2: I don't know what doctor's you've run into but Doctors typically have to have about 12 years of post high school study in order to even get those wonderful letters after their names. If it was for the fame, they chose the hard way to do it. I think what you might be confusing pride with is what is commonly called the "God Complex"......

There are MANY people who go into medicine simply because of the love of the field. I know I love the wonders of it. And to know that I was able to ease someone else's pain.....its an awesome feeling.

This is true. But my teacher said if your studying medicine just for money you might as well quit!

Its not worth it. Too much time and its super competitive, you might as well become a model or of football player if your in just for money ( Shes non Muslim lady btw)
