The Prophets are paternal brothers

Imam Ahmad recorded that Abu Hurayrah said that the Prophet said,

(The Prophets are paternal brothers; their mothers are different, but their religion is one. I, more than any of mankind, have more right to `Isa, son of Maryam, for there was no Prophet between him and I. He will descend, and if you see him, know him. He is a well-built man, (the color of his skin) between red and white. He will descend while wearing two long, light yellow garments. His head appears to be dripping water, even though no moisture touched it. He will break the cross, kill the pig, and banish the Jizyah and will call the people to Islam. During his time, Allah will destroy all religions except Islam and Allah will destroy Al-Masih Ad-Dajjal (the False Messiah). Safety will then fill the earth, so much so that the lions will mingle with camels, tigers with cattle and wolves with sheep. Children will play with snakes, and they will not harm them. `Isa will remain for forty years and then will die, and Muslims will offer the funeral prayer for him.) Abu Dawud also recorded it.

look at this ayah:

And We sent not before you (as Messengers) any but men,

i take the meaning from this that all were men!!O_O

The mother of Moses got inspiration from Allah.

"And We inspired to the mother of Moses, "Suckle him; but when you fear for him, cast him into the river and do not fear and do not grieve. Indeed, We will return him to you and will make him [one] of the messengers."" Surah Qassas, verse 8

What do you call a person who gets divine inspiration? :)

SubhânAllâh!
First of all Salam alaykum warahmatullâh!
It says ''We Inspired...'' not 'divine'. Who are these six female messengers or prophets?

And We sent not before you (as Messengers) any but men Sûrah Yûsuf Verse 109.

And We sent not (as Our Messengers) before you (O Muhammad SAW) any but men, whom We sent revelation, (to preach and invite mankind to believe in the Oneness of Allâh). Sûrah Nahl Verse 43

And We sent not before you (O Muhammad SAW) but men to whom We revealed, so ask the people of the Reminder [Scriptures - the Taurât (Torah), the Injeel (Gospel)] if you do not know Al-Anbiya verse 7

I just read that there were 'Some scholars' that said there were female messengers, but I really wonder who these scholars were!

By saying Mûsa's mother was a prophet it means that Mary, Âsiyah and other women as well were prophets or messengers.

I'm sorry if I sound rude my brother. but the Qurân is crystal clear:):)

Normal people dont get wahy (inspiration) I promise, i learnt all this in my Fathul bari lesson, the problem is i frikin lost my notes.

The is a massive difference between messengers and prophets.

I cant remember exactly the six, but Maryam (mother of Jesus), Umma Musa (mother of Moses), and Asiya ( wife of Firaun) Fatima, and Aisha(wife and daughter of the Prophet Muhammed sallahualhiy wassalm)are part of it, but Aisha and Fatima are disputed by some scholars. And i cant remember the other two

This is what God says about Maryam:

And (remember) when the angels said: "O Maryam (Mary)! Verily, Allah has chosen you, purified you (from polytheism and disbelief), and chosen you above the women of the 'Alamin (mankind and jinns) (of her lifetime)."

If you want the proper evidence ill go ask the Shaykh. Just wait for me

And dont worry, im not offended or freaked out by your responses. My aqeedah is still Atharee.

Its all good here:)

'Âisha was the mother of the believers (Ummul Mu'minîn). Ask your shaykh how he explains the three ayahs I posted! It seems weird to say Rasûlullâh when talking about females when the first one was Nûh and the last one Muhammad SalAllahu Alayhi wasallam
I dont understand Atharee!

How can Fâtimah and 'Âishah be prophets or messengers when the last one was Muhammad SalAllahu alayhi wasallam and they both died after our prophet?

I dont understand Atharee!

Athari is one of the Sunni school of aqidah besides Matrudi and Ashari.

i found this on internet :

The Athari methodology of textual interpretation is to avoid delving into extensive theological speculation. They believe in Allah and his characteristics in the fashion that they were mentioned in the Quran, the Sunnah and by the Sahabah. They do not attempt to further interpret the aforementioned texts by giving a literal meaning nor through tahreef (distortion), ta‘weel (figurative interpretation), tamtheel (making a likeness), tashbeeh (resemblance), nor ta’teel (denial). They avoid entering into philosophical and rational discussions of matters relating to Islamic beliefs that are not supported by the Quran, the Sunnah or the understanding of the Sahabah with specific wording; rather, their discussion and presentation of beliefs revolves entirely around textual evidences found in these sources, without taking the path of the literalists either. The Atharis believe this to be the methodology adhered to by the first three generations of Muslims (i.e. the Salaf), therefore making it the school of Sunni Aqidah that they believe is the closest to the truth.

I also believe in this Aqidah Allhamdullialh.
