This is a reminder for my self and then for every one, remember this site is about teaching Non Muslims about ISLAM to give a clear understanding of Islam and its teachings, but still I find some of our brother and sisters use words which might be improper or harash for non Muslims who come and visit the site.

A lot of people are getting so political on the site that the site is lossing its main purpose, some time we blame every one for own problems ...using the words Kufarr so much and generlaizing the blame on every non muslim in the west, but when they do the same and blame whole muslim nations for the action of few we get mad and say oh you cant blame all the Muslims for this.

We should think before we say anything, and remember if a non Muslim come on the site to learn about Islam and show some intrest in Islam and then reading some of our statments turns them back and they leave the site because of the harash words we use by generalizing the blame and calling them names, you will be responsible in front of Allah about this person for not delievering the message as you should done it with wisdom and good manners.

Assalamu Aleikom Brother

What an important thread and reminder for all to see, yet no one has thanked you thus far for it? Hmm...makes you wonder. Perhaps they are all still signing in and waiting for the latest response on some no nonsense thread to incite more drama.

You know, when I first joined this site I absolutely LOVED it. I learned so much...but something started to happen and eventually I left. I had too. It was causing me to pull away from Islam. Now some may wonder how that can be, they can pass judgement and make ignorant statements about it, they can say all sorts of things....but they fail to recognize that as a new Muslim, I am struggling daily and I NEED positive, informative, and good Muslims to look up to. Sort of like a child does their Father. So when I see those pointless threads filled with drama, anger, and harsh words...I can't help but feel sad.

Every single word of your thread here...is EXACTLY my thoughts and did in fact do exactly what you said might happen if someone comes here seeking the truth and finds other things instead.

I am all for free speech and debates when they are presented in an informative, educational, and respectful manner where I can actually learn something...but threads filled with emotions and biased opinions are simply not the debates that will teach a person the wonders and beauty of Islam.

Insha'Allah more people will come here, read your words, and reflect on the type of Muslim that they have been portraying and how their words have represented our beautiful way of life.

Everyone should remember each day whether born Muslim or revert that they are a DIRECT REPRESENTATION OF ISLAM AS A WHOLE to a person who is ignorant about it. You may be the ONLY Muslim they have met or will meet and its extremely important you portray what a REAL Muslim is about and what Islam teaches. Simple as that.

Everyone always wonders how can they make a difference in this huge world by being only one person fighting against it...well, do as I said above, and you will be able to achieve that. Insha'Allah

I love you all for the sake of Allah subhana wa ta'aala and I hope and pray that this site will turn back to it former days when there was so much to learn, when I was doubtful about Islam but the Muslims here drew me in without even knowing what they were doing. Without even knowing that I, a lost soul, was praying for them and asking Allah subhana wa ta'aala to bless them because they helped me tremendously in my search for the truth.

Thank you Brother for posting this thread. Insha'Allah it will touch each and every person here. Insha'Allah someone seeking the truth will be able to read this thread and say to themselves-"oh ok...so those pointless threads filled with drama are not what Islam is about" and that person will still continue to seek and searchand be able to forget the bad things being said and Insha'Allah convert because of your words.

Assalamu Aleikom

Salaam,

Thank you dear brother for the reminder. Lately, I've noticed my posts have shifted into talking more about politics than Islam ...it just boils me inside to spread the truth...the media is very powerful and in most instances very dangerous because they're the ones that shape our views, ideologies and perspectives and the social world around us. I hope I have not hurt anyone's feelings lately and if I did then please accept my sincere apologies.

:ma:A much needed thread. We are losing sight of what this site is all about. This is why some people leave(Allah knows best). We need to spread the message of Islam in a positive light, not a negative one.

Jazakallahu Khairan for the reminder!

:salam2: brother. I think you're absolutely right. We should all think more than once before posting anything so we wouldn't hurt the feelings of our fellow brothers and sisters in Islam.

i don't think that TTI was ever the problem. it's just that sometimes we human beings tend to lose focus on the more major things. this has always been a great site, and insha'allah it will remain to be so.

I think when it comes to political matters people tend to be biased and so bring in unnecessary arguments.
We as members of TTI have a very big responsibility as such should learn how to reach out in the best possible manners as we have been taught.
