Q): WHAT or WHO is a believer?

A): Such a basic question that all of us should think about! Allah (SWT) says in the Qur’aan:

Success is really attained by the believers [23:2]

who concentrate their attention in humbleness when offering Salāh (prayers) [23:3]

and who keep themselves away from vain things, [23:4]

and who are performers of Zakāh , [23:5]

and who guard their private parts [23:6]

except from their wives or from those (bondwomen who are) owned by their hands, as they are not to be blamed. [23:7]

However, those who seek (sexual pleasure) beyond that are the transgressors [23:8]

– and (success is attained) by those who honestly look after their trusts and covenant, [23:9]

and who consistently observe their prayers. [23:10]

Those are the inheritors [23:11]

who will inherit Firdaus (the Paradise). They will be there forever.​

Unfortunately there are many Muslims out there who have NEVER read the full Qur’aan with understanding. This goes for Arabs & Non-Arabs! If you are one of them, you have problems!

Brother waseem, bro GP is telling us to question and check ourselves. We need to rectify ourselves if we are not on the right path. Allah Subhanahu wa Taala does not change the condition of people if they dont try to change themselves.

Allah swt tell us in the Holy Quran what a true believer is (mu'min), and GP quoted verses from the Quran...

We all need to check ourselves, and remind ourselves to check ourselves...
Did this make sense? I don't know but all i am saying is that is is our duty to remind ourselves to enjoin good and forbid evil

Little brother, I can attest that Brother GP constantly checks himself. I am his aapa. I understand his loyalty to Islam, I admire his dedication to Muslims, and I am proud that he would welcome me as his aapa.

Back to the topic;
reading the Holy Qur'an regularly with pondering and trying to understand is great enjoyment and sweetness as well.

Just keep reminding yourself that every letter in this Holy Qur'an is said by Allah, the creator of you and everything else , the One who has all power over everything, the One who will cause you to die and then bring you to life again to ask you if you read His Words or desert them!!!

Keep reminding yourself that the only chance to read your Creator's words is your life on this earth and it could be very short.

Imagine that on the day of Judgement we may greatly regret on every second we waste away from our creator's words.

At this time you'll definitely feel that you are in a race with a very short time!!

It is a personal matter. We do need to unite. All I know is : Allah knows who or what is a believer. We have to get stronger.

Brothers and sisters...I am one of those optismistic types..I believe everything happens for a reason and is a blessing from Allah.

i read the quran everyday, but never get read the whole TAFSIR.

now i am closed to finish reading the SIRA of the prophet peace be upon him.

i wish the next book will be about TAFSIR.
