Well i m not interested in cricket n hvnt watched for more than a decade but today i felt very sad (on FB) i v seen ummah divided over petty issue like cricket......n unnecessarily arguing, cursing each other....

1. its a game..not a *jihad* between Islam and kufr.

2. if someone being a citizen of non-muslim nation supports it, that doesnt makes that person a bad muslim.

3. instead of making dua that our nation or a *particular muslim nation* wins..its better we pray for iman, peace and happiness for ummah and world in general.

I like srilanka. Sangakara is a top player and one of the few players honest players left in this game. Id love to see him with the trophy. I also think Srilanka will win it but it depends on the wicket.

anyway what a useless game cricket is. 8 hours long that's like half the working day. You people should watch a proper sport like football.

You are absolutely correct. Nationalism has no importance in Islam and that too for sports,disgusting. Its better to offer Nafil prayers than wasting time in such activities. I am also trying to discard nationalism. Globe has been segregated into artificial boundaries. And worst thing is even Muslim nations fought each other on the issue of nationalism.

Though shayari is out of context for Islam but till I would like to quote few words from an Indian Muslim poet/lyricist

'' Panchi,nadiya pavan ke jhokhe koi sarhad na inhe roke
Sarhad insano ke liye hain"

InshaAllah,let a day arrive when from Albania to Indonesia there exists one single Muslim nation.

And I am nationalist (now to a lower degree) because my Br's & Sis's in Islam are nationalist to their own countries.

Yeah, Sangakkara and Dilshan are great players. They just got out though.. But anyway, Sri Lanka has a good bowling team. I'm just excited to see Murali play his last game.
