I was pose this question by another Muslim actually and could not answer it. so could I get some help from my tti family. Why does Allah want to be worship?

Ibn_hassan

Servant of Allah
Allah is rich in everything one would like to have. He doesn't want any of our worship and it will not benefit him but we are the ones who need to worship so that we can attain paradise and safe our selves from hellfire. Allah doesn't oppress any1 and is full of mercy so therefore he tells mankind to worship him in order to attain jannah. Plz note that am not a scholar and forgive me for anything you misinterpret

actually allah is not in need of our worship, however it is emphasised alot in order to remind us of the reality of life, so that we dont go astray and we focus on attaining our goal of jannah. Worship also leeds to good deeds, and is a sign of gratitude to our lord, and why not since god is amazing.

As Salaamu Alaykum, Brother Ibn_Hasan has told you the best so far lostlilly, ALLAH does not want... it is we need to worship ALLAH that we may obtain his grace and mercy. Which of the favours of your Lord will you deny?

all the prayers that we do is for our benefit. when we pray 5 times throughout the day it reminds us of death, hereafter and distracts us from this world so that we remember the reality of this world and the next. When we read Quran, its to educate oursleves about this world, the Prophets. angels, herafter etc. But we get reward for educating ourselves about this. When we fast it reminds us of the poor and needy and prevents us from being greedy and selfish. Therefore we NEED to worship and obey Allah for ourself. Allah is the Creator of the Universe and the earth is like a dot compared to the whole universe, not forgetting heaven and hell and in turn we are just a human being in that dot so it doesnt make a difference to Allah whether we worship Him or not but it makes a big difference to us. Of course Allah will be upset and angry if we dont obey Him but that's because He loves us so much (more than a mother loves her child) and has specifically warned us and given us so many signs and still we turn away. But yeh we need to wroship Allah for our own benefit.

:salam2: sister Lilly,
As brothers and sisters have already mentioned, Allah (Subhana Wa Tala) is not in the need of our worship, but we are in the need to worship Allah (Subhana Wa Tala)

But Allah is free of all wants, and it is ye that are needy.

The Holy Qur’an, Chapter 47, Verse 38.

And as the Prophet Muhammad :)saw:) related in the authentic hadith that Allah said:

“O My slaves, you will not attain harm in Me so as to harm Me, and you will not attain benefit in Me so as to benefit Me; O My slaves, were the first of you and the last of you, the human of you and the jinn of you to be as pious as the most pious heart of any one man of you, that will not increase My Kingdom in anything; O my slaves, were the first of you and last of you, the human of you and the jinn of you to be as wicked as the most wicked heart of any one man of you, that will not decrease My Kingdom in anything; O My slaves, it is but your deeds that I reckon up for you and I recompense you for. So let him who finds good praise Allah and let him who finds other than that blame no one but himself.”

if we want to succeed in this life (and after-life),
-------we need to follow the commends of the one who created this life
By following the commends of the one who created this life,
-------we are worshiping him
By worshiping him,
-------we are doing good to ourself

.... so worshiping our creator is for our own good

i think this post cleared it..allah subhana wa ta3ala isnt dependend of our salaah.
however we have to pray 5 times througout the day, so that our salaah may withhold us from doing wrong things.. ( al fahsh and al monkar ) crooked things

Here to help
:salam2:

the reason is simply that Allah is the greatest ,you can't and do not have any power to challenge ,attack or even raise up to the level of Allah(swt) . so in order for you to submit and completly surrender and never attempt to make the mistake of challenging Allah (swt), Allah(swt) forces you to worship him so that you can be saved and do not go astray.
by worshiping Allah(swt) you wil automatically be programed to be scared to even dare to challenge Allah(SWT) ...
also im not sure what you mean by worshipping ,if you mean praying .if u mean praying 5x a day .i do understand praying 5 times a day is big struggle for any human being, but there are very good reasons why Allah made it 5x a day, (Allah is the best knowing)
1. most importantly if you go to Allah 5x a day,you are less likely to be lead by your desires
2. peace of mind, by praying you will be able to relax and free your mind from the stresses of normal life.
3. hygein, if you clean yourself 5x a day no one will have an issue with your hygein, and you will always feel fresh.
4. Allah asks you to come to him at different times in a day, this allowes you to have structure in your life.(ie. you will be able to assaign tasks according to prayer times
5. Reciting Quran ,Allah asks you to read quran during prayer ,so you can practice saying his words .
Allah is very clever he designed salah to solve the biggest problems in our society,so he asked us to pray together.
6. Racism ~, Mohammad(pbuh) said when you pray do not leave gaps in between you, this is so you do not stand apart from people of other races,so if you are constantly meeting people of different races and colors you will have a chance to understand each other, and clarify the misconseptions
7. solving the problem of higher and lower classes, rich and poor are made to come together and sit on the same carpets ,come into contact with each other and perform the same acts of worshipping as each other.inside a small place where they are all considered the same.
8. Socializing ,the mosque is were you meet your friends and reletives on a regular basis and chat with other .and say salamz
9. the mosque can also be used as a common ground as a place where local people meet in order to discuss their issues and solve problems between each other
10. All these problems also are supported by going to hajj ,makkah, where Allah gets rid of race ,class where people are required to use the same taps ,sinks bathrooms, toilets, and also wear only 2 white pieces of cloth and perform the same action ,where is no one superior over anyone . so you are unable to point out if one is rich or poor
also you can meet your muslim brothers and sisters from all over the world and find out that you are all linked by worshipping the same God (swt)

wasalam

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله

How can we not worship Allah after all the blessings he gave us in this life and all the blessings we may have in the hereafter?!
Besides, We were ordered to worship Allah, thats why we were created!

(quran 51:56:60)
And I (Allâh) created not the jinn and mankind except that they should worship Me (Alone). (56) I seek not any provision from them (i.e. provision for themselves or for My creatures) nor do I ask that they should feed Me (i.e. feed themselves or My creatures). (57) Verily, Allâh is the All-Provider, Owner of Power, the Most Strong. (58) And verily, for those who do wrong, there is a portion of torment like to the evil portion of torment (which came for) their likes (of old), so let them not ask Me to hasten on! (59) Then, woe to those who disbelieve (in Allâh and His Oneness — Islâmic Monotheism) from their Day which they have been promised (for their punishment).[] (60)

(quran 14:34)
And He gave you of all that you asked for, and if you count the Blessings of Allâh, never will you be able to count them. Verily! man is indeed an extreme wrong-doer, - a disbeliever (an extreme ingrate, denies Allâh's Blessings by disbelief, and by worshipping others besides Allâh, and by disobeying Allâh and His Prophet Muhammad SAW). (34)

(quran 36:32-35)
And surely, all,— everyone of them will be brought before Us. (32) And a sign for them is the dead land. We gave it life, and We bring forth from it grains, so that they eat thereof. (33) And We have made therein gardens of date-palms and grapes, and We have caused springs of water to gush forth therein. (34) So that they may eat of the fruit thereof,— and their hands made it not. Will they not, then, give thanks? (35)

(quran 36:71-73)
Do they not see that We have created for them of what Our Hands have created, the cattle, so that they are their owners. (71) And We have subdued them unto them so that some of them they have for riding and some they eat. (72) And they have (other) benefits from them, and they get (milk) to drink, will they not then be grateful? (73)

(quran 22:77-88)
O you who have believed! Bow down, and prostrate yourselves, and worship your Lord and do good that you may be successful. (77) And strive hard in Allâh's Cause as you ought to strive (with sincerity and with all your efforts that His Name should be superior). He has chosen you (to convey His Message of Islâmic Monotheism to mankind by inviting them to His religion, of Islâm), and has not laid upon you in religion any hardship,[] it is the religion of your father Ibrahim (Abraham) (Islâmic Monotheism). It is He (Allâh) Who has named you Muslims both before and in this (the Qur'ân), that the Messenger (Muhammad SAW) may be a witness over you and you be witness over mankind![] So perform As¬Salât (Iqamat-as-Salât), give Zakât and hold fast to Allâh [i.e. have confidence in Allâh, and depend upon Him in all your affairs] He is your Maula (Patron, Lord), what an Excellent Maula (Patron, Lord) and what an Excellent Helper! (78)
