The Muath Centre-
http://muathtrust.org/contents/index.asp
The Muath Centre sometimes hold classes for brothers and sisters in the summer.
However they definitely hold classes for brothers and sisters such as tajweed classes during the academic year.
Faizan-e-Rasool Institute has been running Alim / Alimah courses for nearly three years now. The graduates tend to proceed to takhassus in Syria.
They have three classes for brothers of different levels (after fajr, mornings and 6-9pm evenings weekdays). There is a class for sisters on Sundays between 3-7pm (Tajweed, Arabic, Aqida and Hanafi fiqh). Afterwards, there is an open lesson in Shama'il, tafsir as well as dhikr (7.15-9pm), which most of the sisters stay for.
The sister had asked about aqida specifically. The aqida lessons are clear and well taught - using Shaykh Salih Farfur's introductory book ar-Risalat un-Nafi'a with further explanations from Imam Sawi's commentary on the Jawharat ut-Tahid.
Courses are in English / Urdu taught by Allama Sa'eedi, who has been teaching the sacred sciences for over 20 years in Pakistan, the Middle East and the UK. The sisters class has three teachers. The standard is high, masha-allah.

Anyone here who would be interested in part-time Alimah and Hifz courses for women, if Darul Uloom B'ham extends its facilities for women?
Darul Uloom are considering starting part-time
Alimi courses for women, next academic year if there is a satisfactory demand. There are a number of qualified alimahs (any alimahs interested in becoming a teacher contact the website below) who will be able to teach and the facilities will be very good with enough classrooms at present to hold up to a hundred sisters. The courses will occur on weekday mornings, and possibly during weekends. The syllabus followed will be Dars e Nizami, though the medium will probably be Arabic and Engish.
The fees will be around 10pounds/week. Darul Uloom B'ham, is situated at a very accessible location, in the heart of a large Muslim community (Coventry Rd!), with nearly ten bus routes running past it.
A brief description of Darul Uloom:
The Madrasah is called Darul Uloom Al-Islamiah Al-Arabiah, and was founded in 1985 by Dr. Maulana Abdur Rahim. The Alimi course follows the Dars Al Nizami syllabus. The Madrasah has experienced a revival in recent years with the recruitment of some highly qualified teachers. At present there are around 120 students of knowledge, roughly half are doing the Hifz course while the rest are doing the Alimi course.
There are some really knowledgable scholars teaching there now - roughly 25 Ulama and Huffaz altogether, with at least 3 experienced Muftis. Try to catch Maulana Habibul Gaffar's (one of two Khateebs at present) arabic khutbah on Fridays - it is absolutely amazing.
For ages 11-16 the Alimi course is an 8-9 years course run in the mornings only, with the National Curriculum (GCSEs and A-levels) subjects taught in the afternoon.
For college students (ages 16+) the Alimi course is full-time 9am - 4pm, for six years.
The Hifz course is full-time from 9am - 7pm, with most students now becoming Hafiz within 2-3 years.
