Tahajjud to nabi s.a.w?

I know these sayyids that make istikharah directly to muhammad s.a.w instead of Allah.

Is this shirk?

(sorry for the title it meant to say istikhara but I got mixed up!)

Can you elaborate a little further, the area I have made bold up there? How do they do it?

What can the Prophet do? The Prophet died but Allaah azza wa jal is Alive. Just because they are related to him doesn't mean he can hear them!

Umm, they do 2 rakaat and then make dua to muhammad s.a.w to tell them what to do. They also claim to see muhammad s.a.w many times in their dreams on a daily basis.

If it is so, then its pure Shirk! This is why learning Tawheed is a must for each and every person.

Our Du'as can ONLY be asked to Allah alone, and it is a matter of Iman and Kufr according to the Scholars. May Allah prevent us!
