In what language is the khutbah made in your mosque??
I heard that the khutbah should be in arabic (the whole speech, not just the beginning), is this true?

Today, i went to the mosque in Geneva, the whole khutbah was made in arabic, i didn't get anything but it seemed interessting ; i managed to understand few words such as : Umar radhiallahu ahn, the Prophet Muhammed pbuh....
Don't you think that they should have had a part in french for the non-arabic speakers, the youth and the converts...???

And one more thing also, even tough it's nothing to do with the topic: the mosque is supposed to be the House of God, somewhere safe, where you should not worry abt wordly things.... still someone managed to steal my bag today, nothing much in it, except my law book :(, but i heard another woman saying that she lost her phone here (in the mosque) and never found it....

I know that this is also happening in UK, and i suppose it can happen anywhere else too, but can we do anything to persuade these people to stop wht their doing??

Alhamdoulilah.

Salaam,

We are fortunate because it is in English. I just have to strain because I have to sit behind a screen and wish he would be louder. We have a small congregation but it is very multicultural.

As our community is so small we do not have problems of theft. But, I have always been one to trust..

maybe the lawbook may turn the person's life around and they could take up muslim rights.

in my community, the khutbah is fully made in arabic and sometimes after the prayer in brief translates the khutbah in somali.

You don't know what to expect from my Imam. He does it in Farsi, English, and Arabic - pretty versatile guy don't you think?

Assalamo alikom, dear sister

Don't get upset dear sister Libin, These things sometimes happen as there are bad and good people everywhere. I remember when my brother had to come home from masjed wearing very bad slippers because his shoes were stolen!!
