Don't worry about your family sis, if they're not going to treat you bad. Know that Allah subhana wa ta'ala is the One who looks after you. With Him you don't need to be afraid or worried about anything. He is the One who will protect yo from any harm. Alhamdoullillah. i told u how people treated me when i started wearing hijab. people smiled to me more offen than they used to do before. even today a very nice old lady liked what i wore and the hijab. subhana allah. sometimes i wonder how people with heart like gold can't be muslim.

well sis, i hope you the best in life.:hearts:

try to attend the mosque again and get to know sisters from there. InshaAllah, that environment would make it easy for you to wear hijab again and practice islam easily...

:salam2: Sister Sakeena,
You are a wonderful girl... You are funny and intelligent and understand things which many people can't even comprehend. So what if you get frustrated once in a while.

Sister you don't know how blessed you are. :ma: But I have to say I am surprised that you haven't gone to a masjid yet. Can you explain why?

If you go to a Masjid then there you will find other Muslimahs and then you can have friendships with them and then you will not have this frustration. Do you have a masjid nearby? If not then findout on the internet. Ramadan is coming and you should plan to go for the Taraweeh. You will love it, specially if this is a big masjid with a lot of activity.

I got to go now. Talk to you later, InshaAllah.

if you got to know some sisters from the masjid, you may find someone who can take you with her!... one might live close by you and you don't know, best thing is to take first step in attending the mosque and talking to people...

you can call one of the masajid and talk to them (http://www.islamicfinder.com/), they might have some activities going on... you can also subscribe to an email list that the masjid might have... also, if there is a university in your town, you may find a muslim community within the university (http://www.msanational.org/), subscribe to their email list to and get to know them...

she doesn't have to know ;) ... she's giving a hard time anyways... if you got to know muslims around you, they may be able to help you... then, you are not dependent on your mother, but still keeping good relationship with her...

Wa'alaikoom salam my little sister Sakeena,
i apologise if i ever hurt yr feeling. I just want to say there's ok if u didnt go to masjid for praying as its not compulsory for women praying in the masjid. u still can pray at home only that praying jama'ah got more reward n meet many friends.
For yr parents/family u need to be patient insyaAllah they will be happy with u just in a matter of times.
just make a lot of zikr 'Ya, Lateef' (The Gentle One -one of 99 Names Of Allah) as i'm doing now. i used to be the most hot tempered one among my sibling n it takes sometimes to softern myself by du'a/zikr. InshaAllah it'll work.

maybe you should evading the impact of socialization and communication. Keep friendly and gentle to your family. Don't make them asking you about our religion.
you should call away the attention are not talking about islam when you're joining to family.
