to Allah we belong
assalam 'alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh brother

Here is the meaning of that du'a. The last part of du'a I know is little different from sister's one.

Allahumma arinal-haqqa haqqan warzuqnat-tiba'ah, wa arinal-batila batilan warzuqnaj-tinabah, bi rahmatika ya arhamar-rahimeen.

O Allah! Let us see the good as good, and bless us with following it. And show us the falsehood as falsehood, and bless us with staying away from it, with Your mercy, O Most Merciful!

Hope it helped.

wassalam 'alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh

we term right path as fanaticism and extremism and blame americans and non-muslims for that! SubhanAllah...truly strange!

O Allaah, Lord of Jibraa’eel, Meekaa’eel and Israafeel (great angels), Creator of the heavens and the Earth, Knower of the seen and the unseen. You are the arbitrator between Your servants in that which they have disputed. Guide me to the truth by Your leave, in that which they have differed, for verily You guide whom You will to a straight path.’

Reading the misleading statements made by some has forced me to post for the first time, although having joined TTI some time back.

The conclusions being made here are based on our very little knowledge on deen, shouldn't we be going to ulema? Please do not mislead others with our own opinions and quoting Quraan and Hadith out of context without a through understanding of this.

It is also saddening to see the rubbish and derogatory comments made about pious predeccessors such as Ml Thaanvi (Rahmaullah). Brother abubaseer you should be careful when you make such claims, these people have passed away and such allegations are serious (remember that Allah Ta'ala is the judge).

Although I am not equipped with knowledge to answer to the abovementioned claims, I am however surrounded by reputable ulema who would put the matter to rest. Inshaalah after I am complete with my exams(on Friday) I would surely try to get an answer to most of the debatable topics here from a reputable mufti and post it.

:salam2: Dear Brother,

Whatever has been said about The Deobandis are from the books written by Scholars with proofs from their (Deobandi) books.

I would request you and others to please take you time and read the book that is in the previous post, it contains references.

If you are able to prove that it is wrong. I will correct myself. Otherwise truth is more worthy to be followed and Falsehood deserves to be exposed.

After all we all are here to learn! :)

If you are able to prove that it is wrong.
do you learn your deen from internet Users?
I will correct myself.
Ibn 'Uthaymeen (hafidhahullaah) said:

"I do not say that every scholar is free from committing errors; [for] every human is apt to commit mistakes. If you see a scholar making a mistake, according to your belief, then contact him and try to discuss it with him - If it becomes clear [to you] that the Truth is with him, then it becomes obligatory upon you to follow him. [But] if you find that his statement is wrong, then it is obligatory upon you to refute it, and make his mistake clear. [And] this is because it is not correct to accept a mistake. But do not disparage him, and put him down while he is a scholar, who is well-known to have a good intention. If you are able to say, 'Some people say such and such, and that is a weak opinion.', and then you explain why it is weak - without mentioning the scholar - [then] that is good, and that is best."

Did you discuss with the books of scholars you mentioned with their students about the objections? or do we expect they will come in internet to answer us? or we got the attitude" what i understood , is the correct one, and what i didn´t understood is false!"
After all we all are here to learn! :)
yep, but regarding the scholars you are raising objection, aren´t here, neither their students are here to teach us.
