So what's munajjid following. His desire?
His knowledge, he has studied Usool hadith, Usool fiqh. what have u done? what have i done? He dont say abu dawud said so or tirmidhi said so. he is able to judge was claim of abu dawud and tirmidhi right or not according to his knowledge without following any other muhaddith.

you said the book says there are other, but dind´t mention. so you are blind following the claim of the book

If you dont know usool hadith, how do you know abu dawud and tirmidhi were right?

and this books contains weak hadith and other things.
does it contain weak hadith..
who says it's weak? your desire

Another good link (remove spaces!) :

h t t p : // w w w . maliki.org/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=58&Itemid=57

It says in the aforementioned link:

In the chapter concerning inferential reasoning, from Maraqi as-sa’ud, [Sidi Abdullah] says,

“As for the one who is not a mujtahid, then basing his actions on primary textual evidence [Qur’an and hadith] is not permissible.”

Therefore unless you are a mujtahid Idris, you cannot base your actions on primary textual evidence as stated above.

brother irshaad, you have to understand what daywalker is trying to clear up. He is only answering the question, literally. but the thread starter asked a question. And answers were given. all daywalker, did was bring back the reasoning necessary to answer such a question.

This has far greater weight than just writing the answer with the knowledge one may have. In sha Allah, this will be perceived as love for a brother for sake of Allah.

Sister;

I was unconvinced that brother Idris was as yet convinced about the issue at hand.

I hope he is now lol.

Jazakallah

So your point is? to have one madhab... why i dont have one madhab is because i dont want to follow sth wrong. i read books by Salafis and trust them and if i follow them blindly then i follow them blindly.

Brother Quran is a Furqan(The criteria for judging something is right or wrong) so read it reflect upon its verses and it is Allah(swt) who guides and as Allah(swt) says in the Quran,"Whoever Allah guides no one can misguide and whoever Allah misguides no one can guide".Your work is to learn and when becomes clear to you that this ruling is right so you should follow ask Allah for guidance and if there is something wrong Allah(swt) will surely guide you.And in one Ayah Allah says in the Quran that whoever believes in Allah,Allah will open up a path for him which will be a straight path.So there is no need for following saomething blindly and Allah(swt) will Ask you not the imam that you follow so should fear Allah(swt) in every matter strive to learn the truth and follow it correctly. And remember it is Allah(swt) who guides. And Allah(swt) knows best.

yes and dont show the symbol " :astag:" in future inshallah.

you follow salafis, we follow salaf. mashallah.
So there is no need for following saomething blindly and Allah(swt) will Ask you not the imam that you follow so should fear Allah(swt) in every matter strive to learn the truth and follow it correctly.
and nobody tells you to follow anything blindly. again you are following blindly if you dont know:

1. Arabic - Because then you are restricted to the traslators interpretation(the reason being that the translator always interprets what a word with sevral meanings have in another language) and a second-hand source.

2. If you are not a muhadith knowing how to classify hadith. For example if you say al-Albani have said this hadith is sahih then you are making taqleed of al-Albanis judgement without you yourself being able to classify the hadith.

3. If you dont know 3ilm al-naseekh wa al-mansookh - the science of abrogation.

And many other points....

Ahlul-Sunnah wal Jamaa'a have *taqleed?!*

Interesting!

This reminds of a certain DEVIATED sect where the FIRST question after the one about your name upon meeting you is *WHICH IMAM/SAYYID DO YOU MAKE TAQLEED OF?!*

La hawla wala qowta illa billah!..inna li allah wa inna ilayhi raje'eoon!

How about we read the Qura'an..read the tafsir..pick up a volume or two of sahih hadiths along with a really good book about tawheed..learn new ibadaat..revive an abandoned sunnah..learn about a companion or two..learn about a topic which we don't know a lot about..at least go VOLUNTEER and help OTHERS for the sake of SADAQAH???!!!!

How about we do things like that instead of *argue* about the *urgency* of following one madh'hab over following multiple ones?!..especially on a forum where everyone is either *reading whatever is updated* or (and this is in the best of situations) is *learning along*

(this shouldn't cause offense TO ANYONE..as NONE of us HERE..can DARE to even *begin* to think they are KNOWLEDGEABLE ENOUGH to even be CALLED a "scholar"..nonetheless..ACT like one!..if anyone feels "hurt"..I'll tell you right now..TRUTH IS HARD TO SWALLOW..and if you're hurting..then that should RING A MENTAL BELL!)

There's A LOT we don't know..a WHOLE lot that we don't know about our deen..and there's even MORE which we do not IMPLEMENT..unless we learn *and* implement with the intention to *perfect*..we should seclude ourselves and *LAMENT OVER* the shortcomings towards Allah and His deen which we have *committed* and still are *committing!!!*..in other words..the VERY LAST THING we should be doing IN THESE TIMES OF FITAN is ARGUING..we should have mercy on our souls and go study our deen!!!..each and every one of us!!!!!

P.S. we should look into the MENACE of arguing or debating *the deen* too and what it might cause us!!!..great..established..historical..and EPIC..OFFICIAL SALAF and SCHOLARS!..used to *fear*..that's right *F E A R*..someone asking them a question which might trigger an *argument or debate of deen*..because they knew it had connotations beyond *them!*..and because they were mindful of Allah Watching over them..and had the taqwa to *avoid* such a thing!

this is not an attack (for those thinking I'm being miss rude!)..this is just advice from a concerned Muslim soul!..and if no one sees it (i.e. the sincerity of the advice)..that's not important..because Allah is my Witness over my intentions!..and *He (swt)* is enough a Witness!!!..so I won't explain myself further

:salam2: none says to follow any person. ITs following a school. A school isn´t based upon one person, but by 100 of scholars.

If I were to agree to agree with then,

People who follow one of the 4 Madhhabs blindly similiarly also need to know the below 3 things.

Just as people who follow ONLY Prophet :saws: blindly need to know above 3 things:

1. Arabic: Because none of the 4 Imaams, knew urdu or english.

From where I'm from(India) people think as if the 4 Imaams(and their students) used to write books and read in urdu and english so they don't need to know arabic to do blind-following of Madhabs. But, say we need to learn Arabic if we want to follow only Prophet :saws: blindly!!

2. Also need to be know the chain of narration of Imaams (or to his students)to know actually what Imaam said and if the narration was correct or not.

3. Also need to know the opinion on which the Imaam (or his students) later retracted, just like Nasikh and Massookh of Quran.

:wasalam:

request to People here: Please maintain adab while discussing, present your point politely. If you can't do it, dont discuss!.
