Why females are not chosen as Prophets

Are the angels and genies Prophets?
A. No, the Prophets are only in humanbeings and that too the males only. No angel, genie or female is Prophet.



allah doesnt want any female to be a prophet ?????

I can't answer your question?

but let me ask you in response, aren't there people who worship women even if they tell them to worship God? and they just ignore, and will do anything for the woman but that.

man and woman are just a human being only allah is the wright person to be worshipped


but im asking here not for worshipping them .....as i read about prophets i have come across only male prophets so a question striked in my mind is there any unknown female prophets

what happened to Mary, Peace and Blessing be upon her?

when she came with the miracle of a child Jesus, PBUH?

they didn't beleiver her and were about make her a bad person, till the infant baby Jesus, PBUH spoke to all that were there.

Allah knows best because it is not explicitly mentioned in the Qur'an whether He appointed any female Messengers, don't think mentioned in the Hadith as well. But we know that only Prophets can talk and receive wahi from Angel Jibrael. From below verses from the Holy Qur'an, Surah Maryam, we know that Maryam (peace be upon her) did spoke with Jibrael:

And mention in the Book (the Quran, O Muhammad SAW , the story of) Maryam (Mary), when she withdrew in seclusion from her family to a place facing east. (Holy Qur'an, Surah Maryam 19:16)

She placed a screen (to screen herself) from them; then We sent to her Our Ruh [angel Jibrael (Gabriel)], and he appeared before her in the form of a man in all respects. (Holy Qur'an, Surah Maryam 19:17)

She said: "Verily! I seek refuge with the Most Beneficent (Allah) from you, if you do fear Allah." (Holy Qur'an, Surah Maryam 19:18)


The angel) said: "I am only a Messenger from your Lord, (to announce) to you the gift of a righteous son." (Holy Qur'an, Surah Maryam 19:19)

She said: "How can I have a son, when no man has touched me, nor am I unchaste?" (Holy Qur'an, Surah Maryam 19:20)

He said: "So (it will be), your Lord said: 'That is easy for Me (Allah): And (We wish) to appoint him as a sign to mankind and a mercy from Us (Allah), and it is a matter (already) decreed, (by Allah).(Holy Qur'an, Surah Maryam 19:20)

So was Maryam (peace be upon her) was a Prophet? Allahu 'alam.

But women should be proud that this whole surah was name after Maryam (peace be upon) and this is certainly an honour to all believing women.

in islam if there is a woman witness,then we need two women instead of one..but if it is male we just need one male witness...and even talak can be only give by male and not female..and male is the leader and no man should be under a woman's control....male can marry 4 but women can't

it all shows why there is not women prophet...

but u must know this is as well

1.the first person to accept Islam was not a man, but it was a woman. Hazrat Khadija RADHIALLAHUANHA the wife of the Prophet SALLALLAHUALAYHIWASSALLAM

2.the most hadith reported was a woman-Aishah bint Abu Bakr the wife of the Prophet SALLALLAHUALAYHIWASSALLAM

3.The first martyr in Islam was the woman Sumayyah bint Khabbab

Allah has created men physically and emotionally more strong. but He loves both of us. so dont worry. :)

1. women are created weak, can they really have prophets level of sabr?

2. prophets have to fight the wars physically, are women really capable of that?

3. history proves that socieites have always been male-dominated. when ppl did not listen to male prophets, do u think they would taken female prophets seriously? they would have laughed and mocked them.

4. wht about hijab? are men-women not supposed to keep distance? female prophet with male sahabas.

5. men by nature like to protect women and women by nature like to be protected by men. usually men do not like to have a female head.:)

so its about Allah's concern for His female slaves and Allah knows best.
