The Role of TTI and Egypt

Assalaam walaikum,

I must note and thank TTI for allowing Muslims to communicate. Sister Maha has given us the truth, as have Sister Revert 2007 and as usual Sister Harb.

We have been given accurate commentaries by our brothers and sisters on this site. This allows the readers to be able to gain a deep understanding of the historical and socio-political causes of the current and necessary crisis.

And we have been constantly and correctly been asked what is our role as Muslims from the Sharia.

May Allah subhana talla accept our dua for Egypt.

I do agree that the thread has kept us upto the date with happenings in Egypt. It is fascinating that the internet can keep us informed though we are thousand miles apart and still get latest minute by minute updates. I am sure millions of expat Egyptians will be glued to their computer screens and TV sets.

Apart from that, we have not yet known about our role from the shariah of al Islam besides making dua. The thread hardly has any advice from scholars of knowledge albeit one (who is known for holding those 'type' of views). As members of TTI, we should concentrate on knowing the Islamic perspective rather than being completely sucked into the chaotic and desperate situation in Egypt faced by fellow brothers and sisters.

As salamu 'alaikum waramathulah wabarakathu.

Well as a Muslim I personally need a good Muslim leader. But it is too soon to talk about who should be the president and whether do we want shariah or democratic. There are Christians as well and there are in fear that Muslim Brotherhood might rule the country. We all know that Muslim Brotherhood is no longer the same and there are many extremist and there is no room for extremism in Islam.

First of all we need to get rid of him then we can think about what to be done next.

This whole riot is nothing to do with religion .It is all about freedom that has been longing for ages.

Most of the participants are teenagers and youth who want a better future for themselves as for their following generation.

These people have been oppressed for almost 30 years and they can no longer bear the pain.

Egypt as the FIRTS CIVILIZATION has almost 40percents of poverty. When I say poverty in Egypt it means they can't even afford to be the 5cent bread and they sleep on the street.

Egypt produced the world best cotton-Egyptian Cotton but it was no longer being produced due to some request(you know who).

Last year there were 12Million tourists in Egypt and of course tourism contributes to the economy yet where are the money?

The social life in Egypt is not balance. There almost 5 percents of people who are filthy rich and there are people who are middle class who are struggling to have a better life and people who are considered to bein poverty.

Egypt has a lot of money but my question is WHERE IS THE MONEY?

Allah knows the best.

As salamu 'alaikum waramathulah wabarakathu.

Asalaamu Alaikum,

Historically speaking, Christians never lived in more peace when it came to Islams ruling in Palestine where Shariah law was implemented. Even the Jews used to "run to the Arab lands" for the freedom and equality they saw there, as one Rabbi wrote a letter to his family telling them that even in court the Jews had equal justice against Muslims.

Sharia law is the best, just about implementing it properly and Islamically that matters. Leaders who gain from Shariah law never implement it right and it causes problems.
