i was a muslim by birth but i never trully understood it. it was only about 3 years ago that i started to read about islam and research myself. i think that is the best way as then you will truly understand islam. i respect converts a lot as they may suffer hardships but allah guides them. they are trully blessed.there stories are very inspirational.

After i went to saudi 2 years ago my life changed for the better and made me want to strive to become a better muslim. this is just my story.

i was born in a muslim family but i never knew even what does a muslim mean i was by name a muslim but by deeds i was a christian (not complete)...i followed thier ocassions and rituals and watced only english movies but then GOD ALMIGHTY turned me ....he showed me the path of truth.....someone told me to visit MAULANA ABU'AL MAUDOODI'S DAUGHTER HOME...as he has left the world, and he was the best translater of the holy quran...(may his sole rest in peace) when i visited his daughter's home for the first time in my life i felt a change in myself as it seemed like someone had held my heart or it was rather locked but after attending her dars and talks i realized that the path on which i was, was wrong .today if i am a good muslim (not good as a muslim should be)but still all thanks firstly goes to ALLAH and then to my teacher....

I am still on a journey to see if this is the right path for me. But I had some events happen in my personal life that led me towards religion in general. I then spoke to a number of people and found myself here!

:salam2: i becamed muslim because Allah swt guided me .....between me and islam was ``love at first sight`` if i may say like this, i dont have a long story, complicated one, i cant say i was very surprised that i want to be muslim. I grow up in christian famely, but not very practicant one. For me, i always felt something is missing or that i am not like people around me, the same, i never wanted live the way they lived, even i tryed...and i tghout i have a problem :SMILY309:...... i studied science that i looove so much and i saw paths, i saw how complicated and beautifull is the nature but stille some questions remained about humans , about who created, about how created, about why created...and when i discovered Quran and His teachings..i just felt the circle closed, the puzzle is complet, i saw the answers, i read the truth, alhamdullilah. Ofcourse i needed a person to show me where to look (and this person camed when i needed very much help to be better in my life) and i needed time to study all that i didnt knew before, but now i am thankfull for everything...even i am having a very hard time in my life, even i stille have to change things about me ..i can only hope that inchallah, He will alow me to remain on a good path. May Allah guide us all

As salam alaikum,

I became muslim, because it set me free, free from human slavery. I became muslim because Islam is justice in a complete corrupted world. I am like Bilal r.a in terms of reasons coming to Islam.

You are most welcome brother.

Selamu Alykum,
I converted to Islam because it is the only religion that doesn't have contradiction in it's teachings, and can answer any question you have about this life. Everything is black or white (haram or halal).

I was raised in a Christian family however, they do not practice christianity the way it was intended to be practiced. My parents never taught me the teachings of christianity, they took me to church and as a kid that was somewhere I didn't want to go. I never knew the true teachings of christianity until I converted to Islam and I can see where christians when astray from the teachings of Allah. Alhamdulilah, Allah guided me to Islam when I need it the most.

A~Salaam Alikium.....

Islam is wonderful.....

I grew up non denomination....I always believed in a higher power. My mother is Catholic but never pushed it on me as it was very difficult for me to understand as a young girl. My father is non denomination as well and this is prob where I got it from. I did ask him long ago if he was to choose a religion what would he have chosen? His answer was Islam. As some brothers gave him books and gave him some teaching when he was in Vietnam war.

Any how, how I became Muslim was something that just came across by Allah. My husband is a born and raised Muslim. I always supported him in his beliefs but was just kind of like whatever. I have researched many religions as it was something I was always interested in as to how they first came about and just the history of it all.

When I got more involved and researched Islam I have realized that it was very similar to my own personal beliefs and I have thought to myself that Allah has directed me this way. My life has been wonderful since I have chosen this path.

I wish I would have converted many years ago, but there is a reason for everything and it was just my time when the time came. I prob wouldnt have embraced it as well as I have now in my life. There is a time for everyone and Insha Allah more and more ppl when embrace the right path soon.

By the way I am new hear and am very please with this site..

Ya Rab! Forgive me..
I was born Muslim Alhamdulillah. But it is so inspirational reading all your stories. WOW! i feel so proud to be a follower of Islam and it makes me want to be better and better everyday.
Everyone is saying "Allah guided me", "Allah made me"... This is only something that those who have experienced it can feel. Alhamdulillah I have felt that. It like this immense strength that pulls you in a direction which you do not know but you feel no fear because its just right.... I lost my way and i'm still trying to find my path again but how do I express the undisputed knowledge that I can actually FEEL Allah next to me. Right now, ALWAYS. ALHAMDULILLAAAHH!!! I am so happy! :D
