Surrender

Hi, with tensions rising between israel and a presumed west involvement and Iran, I am considering surrendering to make myself a prisoner of war to islam. I asked about converting but since I had once fought in the military it sounded like I would be a surrender not a convert. I have read a bit about this and the consequences.

So I am here to ask, how do I officially do this and whom can I turn myself into.
I live in western canada.

If you surrender yourself to Allah then there is no need to be a prisoner of war to Islam. If you embrace Islaam all your past is wiped out and forgiven by Allah so there is no need of reprise.
Khaalid Ibn Al-Waleed (may Allaah be pleased with him) the greatest Muslim commander fought against Muslims when he was not a Muslim but then embraced Islaam. Likewise there were many companions who killed and fought against Muslims but they embraced Islaam.

All your sins of past are wiped out when you embrace Islaam.

But Like Abu said, if you want to SURRENDER to Allah subhana wa ta ala, then recite the shahaddah in your heart. When it comes to surrendering, he's the only one who matters. But I am glad to see you have seen how wrong Israel is doing the Muslim world.

What you are saying is not clear. There is no war between Islam and rest, in a way that you can go to the Islamic authority and surrender. It is because there is no leadership to unit the Ummah today.

Like the others said, surrendering to Islam is submission to Allaah. Which as per the Quran is a Victory. If you are interested in such surrender than go ahead, read the terms and conditions, If you feel like it suits you, surrender. But the war continues, Against your Nafs, against shaitan, against the fitnah all the time. Choose you war military man. It's war fulltime when you live in this world. Jannah is the only no war zone. You want to get it? You have to work for it.

I think you are very confused. There is no submission in Islam except to the Almighty Creator, Allah. The greatest jihad (struggle) is with your own inner desires (nafs) and against the whispers of Shaitaan. i suggest you stick around and watch the videos in the proper section and truly research what the real tenets of our faith is.

We do not have out personalized army or government, Islam is above these petty things. If you have committed sin then you confess to Allah and leave the rest to him. We do not confess to lowly humans as they are unable to give absolution. Allah is the all forgiving and the restorer, nothing is above His healing.

Peace to you. You are welcome here. Islam is open to all. If you believe in God and believe Muhammad was a prophet of God you can make that testimony of faith, it is that simple. Maybe you can find if there is a muslim place of worship close to where you live. Hope God guides you to the path of peace. Take care.

Brother first if you have faith in Allah(god) is the creator and Lord of the Day of Judgement & every thing is in Allah's will and Prophet Mohammed(pbuh) is last and final Messanger of Allah.
Then contact any Muslim or Imam or any Mosque. surely they will help you regarding this.
I understand Situations are critical there.
And do lots of Dua's and learn Islamic teachings.
