Assalamu alaykum,

I would view what you psot if they were picture or videos. But I am just curiosity to know why some men beat their wives, does it give them senses of power. This sister I know she is white American who find Islam and she marry this muslim man who is from some where in mideast, and he took her to his country and beat her up almost everyday. How can a sister know if the guy she is going to marry is abusive, I heard some of them beat wives for nothing and fun. Were these men told or taught in their childhood home that it is ok to disrespect and beat their wives up. I am trying to figure out what is really is behind these abuse. how can you beat someone you love and marry, that is unbelievable. I hope no sister ever face abuse or anyone.

Asslamo Allaikum,

When we used to live in Saudia our neighbor (top flat) used to beat his wife everyday and the Mrs used to ask me what are they doing? I used to say, don't know...don't worry...

The whole apartment complex knew about it!

When my wife came back to UK I went upstairs, kicked the door open, walked into their bedroom; threw a sheet on the woman because she was without a Hijab crying & sobbing; grabbed the guy; shoved him aginst the wall and said, "I am trying to SLEEP; If I hear this AGAIN and have to WAKE up in the middle of the night, I will BREAK your face!"

For the next month or so; no noise; till I came back to UK.

Don't know what happened afterwards....

Some men like beating their wives because they want to feel superior, they want to feel or show that they have power over others.

Please, if my husband ( Insha Allah when i get married) tries to lay a finger ( beat) on me for no logical reason, u would see him flying out the window.:SMILY346:

No man and i mean NO MAN has a right to touch his wife, because she is not his slave nor is she his little toy. Women have rights and these rights were not found on the streets these rights were given to them by Al-RAHMAN, Allah (Sabhanahu wa ta'ala). And no Human being should ever break those rights, because they are not challenging a person they are challenging Allah and NO ONE DARES CHALLENGE ALLAH!!!!

It is a sad state of affairs when a man proves his weakness by raising his hand to a woman. I wish to as a question, and please I ask forgiveness if I offend.

I've noticed that a lot of domestic abuse cases have the term Saudi attached to it. Is beating one's wife considered culturally acceptable in Saudi Arabia? Is there a higher incidence of wife beating in the Middle Eastern cultures?

Training Sisters to beat their husbands!

Asslamo Allaikum,

If you are a Muslim Sister in the Midlands (UK), Insha’Allah I can put you in touch with someone who can train you to take your husband OUT COLD!

On a serious note! If you are interested in Sisters Self-defence classes; there are some in Birmingham.

I have heard some really funny (but painful) stories about husbands/wives trying it on each other…

1) Trust me being hit under your jaw bone with the flat part of your palm is NOT ENJOYABLE; it bloody hurts.

2) Your nose being pushed back at a rapid speed is no fun either

Both 1 & 2 require not much force.

W-Salam,

Its very simple;

Rasul-ullah (Sallaho Alaihe Wassalam) NEVER beat his wives.

If anyone has a problem with their wife; try to resolve it within yourselves.

Then get an arbitrator involved who can try to solve it

If that doesn’t work & the two of them are unhappy then seek a divorce;

WHAT’S THE POINT of beating people up?

Maybe tapping will make the woman feel that the matter is TOOOOO serious. And I guess different people respond differently. To some people a wink is enough, to some others, 24 hours preaching is not enough.
