about your email.firstly sis i'm not sure i'm the right person to ask as i have very small amount of knowledge.secondly,i'm not sure i'm at the liberty of judging you either.what's in your heart is what only you and Allah knows.so only He knows what's stopping you and which category you fall in.

perhaps discuss it with someone with more knowledge. But why discuss it.just work on it and get done man:pi'm all ears for the good news:)
Well done, you found the map alright, but you got the description wrong. Look back at where you found it and look at the correct caption. Makkah is on this map, but there's a whole lot more. Also notice the 'shape' of the map.
The exhibition was great. It's going round the world right now, don't know when/if it'll hit the states though.
hehehe...you make things too easy....I was already searching for time pieces/maps/images from the Museum.
Ok I'll give you a better hint. In case you haven't noticed, that image is in fact a scan of a very old map produced by a world renown cartographer from the Muslim world. I think it dates to the 11th century. Find the original (image) and the cartographer and you've succeeded.
    Thank you for that.

It's actually the translation of a rather important but short work on Islamic creed, written some 600 years ago or more.

The picture on the Taareekh group? Well I'll give you a hint. A large version of that image was produced in the Science Museum London recently, which remained on view as part of an exhibition called 1001 Inventions.
    Hello,

I am glad to be of any assistance. I would suggest you read Imam Nawawee's (May Allah have mercy on his soul) Forty Hadeeth in particular. He has meticulously included narrations in such a way that they cover most aspects of faith and belief !.. A real master at work. Praise be to Allah. A great service to Islam and us muslims.

School work is getting hectic. I am trying to enroll in my university's graduate program which is difficult as my university is among the top ranked in my field of study. I ask Allah azz zawajal to assist and guide me in what is best for me and my professional career. Ameen

Thanks for asking. You are really kind hearted person. May Allah azz zawajal guide and assist you & your loved ones. Ameen.

Take care and Have a nice day.
Ok. Regarding your earlier comment, the king example was perfect. I had that in mind too, just didn't type it up. You can probably find out more if you're curious by search for the term isbal/isbaal in the forums.
Basically, it means that Allaah has not created us in a way where we cannot lie about Him, so why should any of the creation have the privilege of not being lied about by mankind? Hope I'm making sense here.
Sorry, what I meant by whatever is below the ankles is in the fire, is that a mans garments that hang below his ankles is in the hell-fire. This is what the Prophet (sall Allaahu `alayhi wasallam) stated, leading to the understanding of its prohibition. As for conceit, well back then and still today in many places, a man often drags his garments on the floor as a means of showing off. In fact, many of the Arabs still do this today. Hope this clears that up.
    Hello JenGiove,

Thanks for bringing up that observation. It's just due to time constraint as I am a college student.

I thank you for your concern. I am doing well Alhamdulillah. I hope you and your loved ones are doing well themselves.
