Assalaamu Alaikum everyone,

I live in East London, Not too far from East London Mosque. Literally around the corner from the Masjid operates a group most commonly known by the name of Al-Muhajiroun and have changed names many times on count of their previous group being banned. Today they operate under the name Islam4uk hoping to bring Shariah Law here. They do a LOT of Da'wah work here constantly calling people to islam and teaching people Shariah law and giving many lectures. Now whilst claiming to be the true followers of the salaf. They claim the Salafiyyah manhaj of Saudi Arabia is not a good 1 accusing them of things like apostasy, shirk and corruption along with many other things. Anyway they say that Sheikh Sudais from Masjid Al Haram is a bad person because he praises the taghout of Saudi Arabia and other countries too. How can I tell them that they are wrong? or that their claims are absurd or that salafiyya manhaj is the truth.

Note that they are a more aggressive group literally showing none or very little fear and hadmany of their sheikhs arrested and deported

here is the link to see what they say.

Feeling low
Wa`alaykumassalam Warahmatullahi Wabarakatu

My friends who are from Hizb ut tahrir say the same about Sheikh Sudais drumming up their own stories.

One story such says when they approached Sheikh Sudais in Netherlands with papers to make him the Khalifah he threw away those papers. They then started to say he rejected the truth.

They now intelligently and indirectly make takfeer of others so to make others believe they are not takfeeris.

On the basis that he is a governmental scholar who praises the taghout openly and calls the mujahideen thieves and bandits. and they use a video at the bottom where they show him dining with Musharraf the corrupt ex prime of pakistan then making Dua for him

First and foremost, I would advise you to stay away from these guys. They are from the Juhhaal (ignorant) and their young ones are excited and have a lot of blood pumping in their bodies.

Secondly, I would not advise you to debate them or try to explain to them- for several reasons:
1) One should have a good foundation before debating others... thus you should seek knowledge inshaa'Allaah
2) They are very persistent in their positions and thus it will be very hard to take a common ground with them- so not an easy job to convince them... especially if your not knowledge based.
3) They will end up making takfeer on you too- at this point you may feel a bit down :- )

Stay away from them. I have had some nasty discussions with them back in the days and it was not fruitful at all.

Wassalaamu `alaykum

I am not a scholar but I dont agree anyone can give takfeer on any scholar if they havent said or done anything outside fold of Islam. It is only upon scholars to discuss such an issue and I would second what brother thariq said, avoid such people inshaAllah.

Salaam alaikum!

Woah! Doing takfeer is not something to be taken lightly wallah..!

such groups exist in my state as well.. Just about a month ago, one of this group's member(a very young brother) accused one of the Imaams, at a local mosque here, of being a Murtadd and refused to pray behind him!! And even sometimes, their little "debate" leads to violence.. Just before the Ramadhaan began, there was a lecturer who came from an out-of-state area to give a lecture and this group insisted that he answer questions or give his opinions on the so-called "mujaahideens" that exist nowadays, and when the lecturer refused to give his opinion and instead said "I don't care about what they (the mujaahideen) are doing there(in the Islamic countries), I only care about what's happening to the Umman here..." basically saying his responsibility is for the Muslims here in the states First... So they got mad because the lecturer was apparently 'against' Jihaad. Then no one knows how it happened but in the next minute, one of the guys switched off the light in the prayer hall(where the lecture was being held) and another was speeding towards the lecturer to 'fight' him. However, the lecturers and several of the Imaams fled. Although a punch did land on one of the sheikhs that are normally at the Masjid...by the brother looking for a 'fight'.

Our Ummaah is in a sad state wallah! May Allah keep us from going astray !

And yes, as your brothers advised you; stay away from them Insha'Allah.

I don't really think they make takfîr on Sudays. If I am not mistaken they even go out for Hajj or `Umrah!

May Allah Forgive us
:salam2:

We are not to take any extreme sides. Neither saying so called "Mujahideens" neither taking the stance of the guy spoke of and what he did. But we can not just go and denounce what is happening to our brothers and sisters. Excluding the oppressed brothers and sisters and those who fight for them from the ummah is not the way to go for someone who is a shaykh. May Allah help those who are upon the true deen and guide the misguided.
