Hi Everyone,

My name is Johnathan I'm 25 and live in Utah.I was raised Catholic although at this time I am not offically part of any church or other religion.
I've been studying Islam for a bit over six months and I am truely impressed by your faith's teachings they are both spiritually rich as well as very sound and logical somthing which my own former church seriously lacked.I have been very tempted to make a profession of faith and embrace Islam.....but there is a not so small problem preventing me from doing so....you see I'm gay.....now before people start sending me death threats lemme at least say my peace.
Being gay is not exactly a choice it was just the hand I was delt.I am not promiscus, I dont go out to the clubs nor do I drink or do drugs if you saw me walking down the street you would never even know.I am in a stable relationship with a great guy whom I have been with for 2 years we live together in the suburbs and each have boring callcenter jobs.
All in all I live a fairly normal life with this one exception.
Now I do not want to make a mistake in a matter as important as religion and while I greatly admire your faith and would like to be apart of it I know islam frowns on gay people and in some countries like Iran they will out right kill you for it. many times as well I have heard that you cannot be both gay and muslim your either one or the other.
So now I am at a cross roads and if anyone would care to comment I'm all ears...and even if the answer is a resounding no I still have nothing but respect for Islam and I will just be on my way and pursure other options. Ok I've said my peace let the insults and death threats commence :)

Hi, welcome to the site Johnathon.

Firstly would like to state that Homosexuality is not something permissible in Islam.

now before people start sending me death threats lemme at least say my peace.

Nobody has the right to harm you or talk bad, they are not judges, peope have no right to send death threats, and i hope people who post reply here realise that.

Capital punishment is only in an Islamic country which implements the Shariah, and after a proper trial. It is for those who do not repent from homosexuality and keep spreading their activities.

A person CAN be a Muslim and a homosexual. Homosexuality is a sin, but it is not a sin which makes a person non-Muslim. However, you must repent from this and get help in going straight. Its not permissible for you to be in a relationship with a man.

You may think its natural, but it is a psychological problem. Homosexuality is not natural. From the biological sense, we were not created to be with the same sex. It is contrary to nature.

Secondly, it is unproven scientifically that a person can be born a homosexual. All the evidence shows that it is purely enviromental. In many countries and societies outside the West "homosexuality" is unknown. The argument that this is because they are "repressed " or scared of acknowledging such people is untrue too, and is based on a racist premise.

Indeed, the Gay Rights movement has no more of a case then those who advocate relationships with animals, paedophilia, or incestual relationships. Its a strange world where Incest is frowned upon and homosexuality is deemed acceptable. Islam forbids all of these.

It can be changed by changing your behaviour, stopping your relationship, getting counseling and prayer.

So, yes you can definitely be a Muslim. As this simply requires that you worship Allah alone and believe in his messenger :saw:. Homosexuality will not make you a non-Muslim, but it will make you a sinful Muslim as you are going against God's perfect commands.

Welcome Johnathan to tti...

Dont worry no-one will be sending death threats...hopefully..

It is wonderful news you are wanting to embrace islam...but...allah (swt) does forbid homosexuality....

Allah Most High says:

Do you approach the males of humanity, leaving the wives Allah has created for you? But you are a people who transgress. (26:165-66)

Homosexuality is one of the major sins (kabaa’ir) that Allaah has forbidden. You must repent sincerely towards Allah...

Successful indeed are the believers!

:bismillah:
:astag:
There is no true deity except ALLAH(the One True GOD). And islam is the way for the righteous. those who refrain themselves from their lower desires and guard their tongues from evil. Allah has mentioned them as true believers in Him and revealed to them the glad tidings of the never ending paradise as a reward for their striving in this worldly life. In the Qur'an Surah 23 Ayah 1-10. May Allah give u tawfiq(guidance) to His Deen! Ameen!!!

Dear Jonathan

I agree with all the replies above.

A person testify his faith in Islam with Shahadah. However, it would not be sufficient for anyone to only utter this testimony orally either in private or in public; but rather, he should believe in it by heart with a firm conviction and unshakeable faith. If one is truly sincere and complies with the teachings of Islam in all his life, he will find himself a new born person. This will move him to strive more and more to improve his character and draw nearer to perfection. The light of the living faith will fill his heart until he becomes the embodiment of that faith.

The aim of natural sexuality is procreation. Lawful and natural sexual relations between man and woman has been designed by Allah to preserve the human race here on earth. Homosexuality is negatory of the natural role and aim of sexual activity.

Some will say that a person may be born with homosexual tendencies. We say that everyone is a free agent. God lays before us two paths and has given us knowledge of where these paths lead. One is the path to which the devil call us. We must avoid that. One is the path leading to paradise. We must stick to that one. Everyone experiences evil prompting from time to time. We must resist those with all our might. If one feels a tendency to do something that God prohibits, he or she should seek help from a community of loving, caring, believers who would understand his or her difficulty and help him or her overcome it.

I’m sure it will be a tough battle but with patience, perseverance and faith in Allah you will overcome the greatest obstacle insha’Allah.

Abu Hurayrah (radiyAllahu ‘anhu) was asked about taqwa. He said, “It is a road full of thorns. One who walks it needs to have extreme patience.”

Learn your religion and sincerely seek Allah for Allah says:

"If My servants ask you about Me, I am near. I answer the call of the caller when he calls on Me. They should therefore respond to Me and believe in Me so that hopefully they will be rightly guided." (2:186

I wish you well. wassalam.

...now before people start sending me death threats lemme at least say my peace.
Being gay is not exactly a choice it was just the hand I was delt.

Hey Johnathon; God's peace and blessings be with you,

I firmly agree with the sentiments our brothers and sisters have extended, but permit me to add my own perspective to this situation. Being a white N. American who's grown up in this environment (as well as others) but recently chose to forgo our "modern secular society" for what I know to be spiritually & mentally sound, I have a different understanding to add.

I found the above quote of your's quite suitable. Did you know that the very first word impressed upon the prophet Muhammad PBUH by God was "knowledge"; without this, we are in ignorance. Your assuming that we Muslims are going to start sending death threats is quite ill-founded; there are plenty of Muslims living all over this continent as well as in Europe, where homosexuality has become not only acceptable but often propagated as "cool", and I have yet to hear of gays being hunted down and murdered in the name of Islam. Like brother Mabsoot said, there ARE some Muslim countries that take law, order, and religion very seriously and will execute unrepentant transgressors - but by the same token Muslims are compelled in the Qu'ran to obey the laws of the land, no matter where they are, so long as they don't conflict with Islam. So here you're safe - Might want to avoid Saudi Arabia for the time being, though ... ;-)

On the same train of thought, I fear that your belief that you were "born gay" is without any logical basis either. I think we've covered the scientific truth on the matter, so let me add that I believe you (somewhere along the line) heard some other person propagate this "born gay" theory and thought to yourself, "Hmm, well is he was, then maybe so was I?" You see, this thought has been implanted into your brain by external forces - from one gay to the next, from one civilization to the next, and ultimately from the devil himself: You're a Catholic, you know what I'm saying. Perhaps when you were growing up there were certain environmental factors that would have contributed to a less masculine approach; but even there, if you thoroughly analyse the factors, you will find inappropriate conduct and poor examples. But ultimately you had to choose to accept to be gay.

So here you are, as you say at a cross-roads in life. Do you know why humans are held in such high esteem in the heavens? Becuase we have the blessings of free thought and choice. We don't HAVE to worship or comply with God's wishes (hehe, or so most of us think), we can do whatever we like. What we do with those blessings is up to us, but don't doubt for a moment that we won't be held accountable for every one of them, seen and unseen.

I really wish the best for you, John; InshaAllah my perspective will come as some benefit to you while you concider the tracks at this crossroad. I will say a prayer in regards to you for guidance, strength, and clarity of mind.

Your brother,
Ahmed

PS: Oooh, I was just thinking - You know what I did when I asked God for clarity? I turned off the TV. Permanately. It's been four years now since I allowed that garbage to filter through my body. I'd highly recommend trying it for just two weeks - You might be amazed by the experience. Here's a tip, too, if you'll take me up on this challenge: have patience and be productive. All the best =)

John, welcome to the site, i want to emphasies that the brothers and sister have spoken all the truth, we muslim dont kill and it is not the teaching of islam to go about killing people, even were the islamic law is set say in saudia or iran, there must be proof of the act and say for the women who has committed adultry there must be 4 witness who have seen her in person doing the act. so its not as simple and easy as portied by the media or those who are now stating our religion as a terries religion.

If you sincerly turn to Allah ( God) and pray to Him for guidence he will lead you to His light, and once you are there you have to repent and regrate of all the sins you have committed and just be on the straight path. Once you became a muslim( Submitte yourself to God) all your pass sins will be forgiven and you are like born again but you have to do good deed of islamic way and repent and continue to seek forgiveness and just depend on your creator.
This act is a great act that was first invented by Iblis(Shatan) for him to lead the creatures of Allah astry as he promised Allah that i will lead them astry so as many as possible can join me in blazing fire of the hereafter, and he introduced this to the people of prophate Lut and that is how it all started and Allah punished them for this sin by one of His great punishment, but iblis never stops and it is a promise to Allah that he will continue to mislead till the end of time, so Allah says if you want to follow your enemy and you know very well he is your enemy then you will contuie to follow him to the heareafter in the fire... but if you will use the knowlegde I have provided you and you see, hear, reflect, understand then you will be of those who will be guided.
Brother John, i sincerly pray that Allah guieds you to the right path but it will be a big fight for you to be on the right path and that fighting and patience is what will be a great test from Allah to lead you to paradise. May Allah guied you Ammen.

Greetings

I'd suggest since you think Islam is right religion for you, EMBRACE it right away and recite the supplication for seeking guidance in forming a decision or choosing the proper course which we call the Al-Istikharaa.

On the authority of Jaabir Ibn ‘Abdullah he said: The Prophet (S) would instruct us to pray for guidance in all of our concerns, just as he would teach us a chapter from the Qur’an. He (S) would say ‘if any of you intends to undertake a mater then let him pray two supererogatory units (two rak’ah naafilah) of prayer and after which he should supplicate:

(i)

‘O Allaah, I seek Your counsel by Your knowledge and by Your power I seek strength and I ask You from Your immense favour, for verily You are able while I am not and verily You know while I do not and You are the Knower of the unseen. O Allaah, if You know this affair -and here he mentions his need- to be good for me in relation to my religion, my life, and end, then decree and facilitate it for me, and bless me with it, and if You know this affair to be ill for me towards my religion, my life, and end, then remove it from me and remove me from it , and decree for me what is good wherever it be and make me satisfied with such.’

One who seeks guidance from his Creator and consults his fellow believers and then remains firm in his resolve does not regret for Allaah has said:

(ii)

‘…and consult them in the affair. Then when you have taken a decision, put your trust in Allaah…”

If you study more about Islam and get to know more about the day of judgement, you'll have fear in Allaah swt and Insha Allaah you will be able to overcome those things that are forbidden to you ameen.

My dear brother...I believe I understand how you feel.. No true muslim would even think about harming you or even breaking your heart! Feeling as a homosexual is not a sin. it's obviously not your choice... but ACTING AS ONE is clearly a sin in Islam. God clearly states in Quran that having same sex partners and practicing such a lifestyle is a violation of Allah's laws. This whole life is a test according to Islamic teachings,so this is your test my brother, if you can avoid it for the sake of Allah, your reward will be huge!!! But anyway nothing should keep you from being a muslim since you know it's the right path! we all are sinners, muslims are not angels, but what Allah wants us to do is try to keep away from sins, obey his commandments, and if we sin, repent from what we do wrong! If you truly want to follow the right path Allah will help you, don't worry! Trust me brother, Allah's favor, consent and his never-ending rewards for you are worth sacrificing your sexual pleasures in this short life... May Allah be with you and help you with your struggle. My prayers are for you brother! Do not exchange an everlasting peace and happiness for a short, insignificant worldly life... Insaallah you'll overcome your problems... May Allah be with you.

I agree with all of the comments made by brothers & sisters. I just want to stress what cedric098 said:

Its the actual practise that is a sin. If you are homosexual, I believe you just need help & support, just like we need help & support when we get depressed or injured.

If you truly desire to know the truth, ask Allah (God) for help & guidance.

As for people not having choice on how they "feel" - my personal experience tells me this is false. Through education and faith, our attitudes can completely turn around regarding anything we're in ignorance of: Including the glorification of homosexuality rampant in our "modern secular societies". Pyschology tells us that the easiest way to change our feelings is to alter our behaviours. Change the behaviors first, and your thoughts will change. When your thoughts change, your feelings will change in turn. Simple.

He wants to repent from homosexuality and needs help

Question:
I am a very serious muslim who reverted to islam many years ago. i was sexually abused as a child and after that, i am attracted to males as well as females. it is something that i hate within myself, but i don't know how to change it. i don't commit the actual sin often, but i do it sometime. after i do it, i hate it as i know ALLAH hates such perversion. the problem is that i am unable to help myself. i try and try to change, but i am unable to change. i beg and continue to beg ALLAH for help. i have also confessed in front of muslims seeking help, and i have been in therapy. the main thing is that i love ALLAH and the sunnah, and everything else in my life reflects this love. i am constantly striving for the pleasure and nearness of ALLAH. please please please help me. since i am plagued with this sickness, i understand why the sharia mandates that death is the punishment for homosexuality. i am potentially big and serious problem within the ummah. as long as i am alive, i may commit this perversive act. all of my friends are ,uslim and all of them are serious muslims like me. the shaitan may whisper to us and use me to detroy me and a friend's iman. please help me. i am ready to go anywhere i need to go so that i can be subjected to the beautiful and complete sharia of ALLAH. i don't want to commit this sin anymore, and i don't want to be a threat to any of ALLAH's servants. please help me soon. i don't know where else to turn.

Answer:

Praise be to Allaah.

We will discuss four points with you and no more than that, and we hope that you will read them carefully. These four points are: the abhorrent nature of the sin of homosexuality; the damaging effects it has on health; the greatness of Allaah’s mercy to those who repent; and ways of dealing with this problem.

1 – The abhorrent nature of the sin of homosexuality

Ibn al-Qayyim said concerning the people of Loot:

Those who support the first view – who are the majority of the ummah, and more than one narrated that there was consensus among the Sahaabah on this point – said that there is no sin that causes more corruption than the sin of homosexuality. It is second only to the sin of kufr, and may be greater than the sin of murder, as we shall see below in sha Allaah.

They said: Allaah did not test anyone with this major sin before the people of Loot, and He punished them with a punishment that he did not send upon any other nation. He sent upon them various kinds of punishment: they were destroyed, their houses were turned upside down, the earth swallowed them up, they were pelted with stones from the sky, their eyes were blinded, they were tormented and their torment was made ongoing. So they were punished severely in a way that no other nation was punished, and that was because of the evilness of this crime which almost causes the earth to shake when it is done on it; and the angels flee to the ends of the heavens and the earth when they witness it, fearing that the punishment may come upon its people and strike them too; and the earth cries out to its Lord, and the mountains almost collapse.

Killing the one to whom it is done would be better for him than having intercourse with him, for if a man has intercourse with him he corrupts him in such a way that life is no longer worth living, unlike killing him in a real sense, in which case he would be a martyr who had been wronged, which may be of benefit to him in the Hereafter.

And he said:

The companions of the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) agreed unanimously that he should be put to death, and none of them disagreed about that. Rather they differed with regard to the manner in which he should be put to death. Some of the people thought that the difference of opinion had to do with whether [the homosexual] should be executed, and they narrated it as being a point of dispute among the Sahaabah, whereas in fact it was a matter on which there was consensus.

Whoever ponders the verse in which Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“And come not near to unlawful sex. Verily, it is a Faahishah (i.e. anything that transgresses its limits: a great sin, and an evil way that leads one to hell unless Allaah Forgives him)”

[al-Isra’ 17:32]

And the verse in which He says concerning homosexuality (interpretation of the meaning):

“And (remember) Loot (Lot), when he said to his people: “Do you commit the worst sin such as none preceding you has committed in the ‘Aalameen (mankind and jinn)?”

[al-A’raaf 7:80]

will see a difference between the two. For Allaah mentioned zina without the definite article, indicating it is a kind of evil action, but He mentioned homosexuality (liwaat) with the definite article al-, which means that it encompasses all aspects of faahishah or evil.

Then Allaah confirms that and states that no one in the ‘aalameen (mankind and jinn) ever did this before them, as He says, “such as none preceding you has committed in the ‘Aalameen (mankind and jinn)”. Then He emphasizes that even further by mentioning it a blunt manner that demonstrates the abhorrent nature of this action, which is a man having intercourse with a man as a man has intercourse with a woman, and He says (interpretation of the meaning):

“Verily, you practise your lusts on men instead of women”

[al-A’raaf 7:81]

Then Allaah confirms how abhorrent that is by stating that the homosexuals distort the nature with which Allaah has created men, which is to desire women rather than men. They have twisted the natural order and they approach men with desire rather than women. Hence Allaah turned their houses upside down and their hearts likewise, and they were turned upside down, as a punishment.

Then Allaah reiterated the abhorrence of their actions by judging them to have transgressed all bounds as He says (interpretation of the meaning):

“Nay, but you are a people transgressing beyond bounds (by committing great sins)”

[al-A’raaf 7:81]

Think about this: was this, or anything similar, said concerning adultery? And Allaah reiterated the abhorrent nature of their action when He said (interpretation of the meaning):

“and We saved him from the town (folk) who practised Al‑Khabaa’ith (evil, wicked and filthy deeds)”

[al-Anbiya’ 21:74]

Then Allaah the All-Knowing condemned them further by describing them as being extremely evil, as He said (interpretation of the meaning):

“Verily, they were a people given to evil, and were Faasiqoon (rebellious, disobedient to Allaah)”

[al-Anbiya’ 21:74]

And He described them as mufsidoon (evildoers etc), as He said (interpretation of the meaning):

“My Lord! Give me victory over the people who are Mufsidoon (those who commit great crimes and sins, oppressors, tyrants, mischief‑makers, corrupters).”
[al-‘Ankaboot 29:30]

And He called them zaalimoon (wrongdoers), in the words that the angels said to Ibraaheem (peace be upon him) (interpretation of the meaning):

“Verily, we are going to destroy the people of this [Loot (Lot’s)] town (i.e. the town of Sodom in Palestine); truly, its people have been Zaalimoon [wrongdoers, polytheists disobedient to Allaah, and belied their Messenger Loot (Lot)]”

[al-‘Ankaboot 29:31]

Think about those who have been punished in these ways, and whom Allaah has condemned in such terms.

And he said:

Pleasure ceased and was followed with loss; desires ended and led to misery; they enjoyed themselves for a little while, but will be punished for a long time. They grazed on filth, and they suffer a painful torment. They were intoxicated with those desires, but they have awoken in the abode of the tormented. They feel the greatest regret, by Allaah, at the time when regret is to no avail. They weep for what they did before, with tears of blood. If only you could see the highest and lowest of this group, with fire coming out from their faces and bodies when they are in the depths of Hell, drinking cups of boiling water instead of delightful drinks, being told as they are being dragged on their faces, “Taste of that which you used to earn.”

“Taste you therein its heat and whether you are patient of it or impatient of it, it is all the same. You are only being requited for what you used to do”

[al-Toor 52:16 – interpretation of the meaning]

Adapted from al-Jawaab al-Kaafi, pp. 240-245.

2 – The damaging effects it has on health:

Dr Mahmoud al-Hijaazi said in his book al-Amraad al-Jinsiyyah wa’l-Tanaasuliyyah (Sexual and genital diseases), when discussing some of the dangers to health caused by committing sodomy:

The diseases which are transmitted by way of sexual perversion (homosexuality) are:

1. AIDS, which causes loss of acquired immunity and usually leads to death.

2. Viral inflammation of the liver

3. Syphilis

4. Gonorrhea

5. Herpes

6. Bacterial inflammation of the anus

7. Typhoid

8. Amoebiasis

9. Intestinal worms

10. Anal warts

11. Scabies

12. Pubic lice (“crabs”)

13. Cytomegalovirus that may lead to anal cancer

14. Genital-lymphatic pustules

3 – The greatness of Allaah’s mercy to those who repent

From the above it is clear that this immoral action is seriously wrong and abhorrent, and leads to harmful consequences. Nevertheless the door is open for sinners to repent, and Allaah rejoices at their repentance.

Think about what Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“And those who invoke not any other ilaah (god) along with Allaah, nor kill such person as Allaah has forbidden, except for just cause, nor commit illegal sexual intercourse and whoever does this shall receive the punishment.

The torment will be doubled to him on the Day of Resurrection, and he will abide therein in disgrace;

Except those who repent and believe (in Islamic Monotheism), and do righteous deeds; for those, Allaah will change their sins into good deeds, and Allaah is Oft‑Forgiving, Most Merciful”

[al-Furqaan 25:68-70]

By thinking about the words, “Allaah will change their sins into good deeds”, you will see how great is the bounty of Allaah the Almighty.

The scholars said that there are two meanings of the word “change”:

(i) Bad attributes will be turned into good attributes, such as their shirk being turned into faith, their adultery into chastity, their lying into honesty, their treachery into trustworthiness, and so on.

(ii) The bad deeds that they have done will be turned into good deeds on the Day of Resurrection.

So what you must do is repent to Allaah and know that your coming back to Him is better for you and your family and your brothers and the entire society.

Remember that life is short, and that the Hereafter is better and more lasting. Do not forget that Allaah destroyed the people of Loot in a way that He did not destroy any other nation.

4 – Ways of dealing with this problem

(i) Keeping away from the things that make it easy for you to fall into this sin and remind you of it, such as:

- Letting your gaze wander and looking at women or movies

- Being alone with any man or woman

(ii) Always keeping yourself busy with things that will benefit you in your religious or worldly affairs, as Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“So when you have finished (your occupation), devote yourself for Allaah’s worship”

[al-Sharh 94:7]

So when you have finished with some worldly task, then strive to do something that will benefit you in the Hereafter, such as remembering Allaah (dhikr), reading Qur’aan, seeking knowledge, listening to useful tapes, etc.

When you finish one act of worship then start another, and if you finish one worldly task then start another… and so on, because if you do not keep your nafs (self) busy with good things, it will keep you busy with bad things. So do not give your nafs any opportunity or spare time to think about this evil action.

(iii) Compare the pleasure you feel when committing this sin with the regret, anxiety and confusion that follow it and stay with you for a long time, and then the torment that awaits the one who does that in the Hereafter. Do you think that any wise man would give precedence to this pleasure which vanishes after an hour over the regret and torment that follow? You can become more convinced of this if you read the book by Ibn al-Qayyim, al-Jawaab al-Kaafi li man sa’ala ‘an al-Dawa’ al-Shaafi. He wrote it for people in a situation like yours. May Allaah make things easy for us and for you.

(iv) The wise man does not give up a thing that he loves except for something that he loves more, or for fear of something he dislikes. This evil action will cause you to lose the blessings of this world and the Hereafter, to lose Allaah’s love for you, and will incur the anger, wrath and punishment of Allaah.

Compare the good you will lose and the evil that will come to you because of this evil action. The wise man will see which should take precedence.

(v) More important than all of the above is making du’aa’ and seeking the help of Allaah to ward off this evil from you. Make the most of the times and situations in which prayers are answered, such as sujood (prostration), before the tasleem at the end of prayer, the last third of the night, when it is raining, when travelling, when fasting, and when breaking the fast.

We ask Allaah to guide you and to accept your repentance, and to help you to avoid bad deeds and bad attitudes.

And Allaah knows best.

Muslim Guy
I'm not sure how accurate this is, but I remember in one of my classes, there was a statistic that had something like: "70% of gay people are not really gay; they just think they are".

Perhaps....if you marry somebody (a lady), you'll eventually find her more interesting :) Take it like a challenge ... like a smoker would do to give up cigarrettes.

Salam Jonathan,
There is no greater sin than not being a Muslim (in the sense of ascribing partners to Allah) and Allah forgives all for those who repent before death comes except for that one. Since you have not declared yourself as a Muslim yet you should first worry about that. The moment you say There is none worthy of worship except for Allah and the Prophet Mohammad is the messenger of Allah, Allah will forgive all your past sins that you did when you were not a Muslim, i.e. were ignorant of your Lord and of your test in this life. InshaAllah you will have a new clean slate to begin with to repent for your past and do good deeds. I pray that Allah guides you and protects you from the trap of the satan who might be whispering that you are in a bad shape and you can never be purified. That is what exactly satan wants us to do, to despair and cut hopes in Allah :astag: which is the worst thing we can do. "On the authority of Anas, may Allah be pleased with him, who said, I heard the Messenger of Allah, Peace Be Upon Him, say, Allah the Almighty has said: O son of Adam, so long as you call upon Me and ask of Me, I shall forgive you for what you have done and I shall not mind. O son of Adam, were your sins to reach the clouds of the sky, and were you then to ask forgiveness of me, I would forgive you. O son of Adam, were you to come to me with sins nearly as great as the Earth and were you then to face me, ascribing no partner to me, I would bring you forgiveness as close to it in measure. " May Allah the Almighty help you to submit to Him, to repent and to live seeking His Pleasure.

I invite you to study Islam. It has a great potential to heal your disorder. We only want for you what is best: to respect yourself and your body. "Gay" is not the right word to be used here (I have never met anybody "gay" who is happy.)

I don't intend to come-through as judgmental, but I have to tell you that lifestyle will only lead you to destruction, despair, and disease. God is merciful. He loves you. Repent and put your faith in him. You will be cured with his grace. He who created you has the power to change you. respectfully.
