Yes, so you pray 4 rakahs for duhr then you do 4 rakahs for asr :D nothing different, just the time.

Oh! Five time prayers should be offered on time. There is concession for prayers to be shortened and brought forward or vice versa.

What is your school time; from what time to what time?

Is there a lunch break? If so offer your Dhuhr prayer during that time and Asr when you return to home.

Need more information about your available time during the school hours in order to see how you can offer prayers.

Hadiths:
The prayer is the best matter. Whoever can increase (his prayer) should do so. [Tirmidhi]

2.The best prayer after the obligatory prayer is that during the depths of the night. [Muslim]

3.Certainly, the late night prayer is an act that takes one closer to Allah, keeps one away from sins, expiates for evil deeds and repels disease from the body. [Tirmidhi]

4.The covenant that is between us and them ( the disbelievers) is the prayer, whoever abandons it has committed an act of unbelief. [Tirmidhi & Ibn Maja]:hearts:

In your school do you have a prayer room or can you just use an empty class room and when the prayer comes inshallah you can try and ask for a 5 minute break to pray thats what i would do. praying your prayers on time is very important there is a punishment for the one who prays late inshallah i will try and look for a hadith but alhamdulilah some schools allow a break i got one in a middle of my exam so inshallah may Allah make it easy for you ameen:tti_sister:

Yes your correct Heegan. But, some advice for you, from a sister. School, University, work, employment are all worldly gains. I understand, I have been through school, and am aware of the very scheduled timetable that we have. However, all that education will get us nowhere if we cannot turn to Allah at the time prescribed. All these things will be of no use on the Day of Judgement. No matter how difficult, try and go out and find a place to prostrate before your Lord.

I was reading a Hadeeth yesterday and it said that there will be three groups called before Allah before the General Reckoning. These three groups will not be questioned. They are:

1) The people who remembered and praised Allah during ease and adversity.
2) The people who spend the night in prayer
3) The people who go out of thier way in terms of trade and business and worldly affairs to perform Salaat.

I am sure we would like to be among those who will not get questioned Insha Allah. May Allah give you the tawfiq to seek His happiness and go out of your own way to please Him and fulfil His Command. Ameen.

ASALAMU ALAYKUM

“Verily, As Salaah (the prayer) is enjoined on the believers at fixed hours” [al-Nisaa’ 4:103]?

i.e., it is obligatory at those times. So understand what has been said above, and I ask Allaah to guide you and set your heart straight.

Shaykh Sa’d al-Humayd

Islam means submitting to Allaah and not objecting to His commands. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“It is not for a believer, man or woman, when Allaah and His Messenger have decreed a matter that they should have any option in their decision” [al-Ahzaab 33:36]

The wahy (revelation, i.e., Qur’aan and Sunnah) described the times of prayer in both word and deed. This is how the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) did the prayers during his lifetime; he did not join prayers together except when he was travelling or at times of hardship.

Assalam aleikum,

Make sure you have your wu'dhu before leaving home and try your best to keep it till you get home [days are shorter so it shouldn't be hard] and take a little piece of cloth. So when the prayer time comes, you leave your classroom, take your piece of cloth and try to find a quiet place. It should be easy, since others are supposed to be in lesson. It takes 5 min and you will feel reslly good afterwards. Give it a try.

Very good advice given in this thread. It is certainly very nice to see brothers and sisters strong in their faith.

i asked them and they let me pray in a small room it only takes a view minutes

Salam brother,

Our school,a public school, does not allow any practise of religion besides congregational Friday prayer to prevent kids from leaving to go to the mosque. I am 100% sure there is atleast one teacher in your school who thinks practising religion should be fine and not something to get in trouble or angst for. Me and a muslim brother go pray in the classroom of our music teacher in breaktime. Other brothers go away from the cameras and pray under the stairway. If you look hard enough, there are plenty of answers.
Wassalam.

Akhi you have to arrange with your school to let you out of class during prayer time. In our school they didn't allow it, but we told them that either they will let us pray or we'll walk out. i'm not saying threat them, but tell them in a kind manner that prayers have to be done on time. Asr is one of the best prayers. the angels pray with us then. we do not want to miss that opportunity. this is the world brother, don't let them deprive you of your prayers. fight for them if you have to. asalamu alaykum wrwb.
