may Allah keep us safe and bestow with hiyya n iman Ammen
sisters n brothers i need your help and the problem is when i open my mail box of Yahoo there are lots of advertisements banners carrying vulgar adds but i have to see the screen for reading my mails, any one know how can avoid such things :shymuslima1:

You need some kind of security software which offers something like Content Filtering, which basically means that it would block such unwanted (sometimes VERY embarrassing) adds and banners etc. from webpages for you. (Hence bit higher net speed also. Bonus!)

I'd keep an eye around for it and would let you know if I find such a freeware.
I'm using this one called Kaspersky Internet Security 2010, but the problem is it's not free. You have to pay for it, but my bank offers it free to its customers.

Are you in the UK? If so, that's great, otherwise Insha'Allah soon we'll find some alternative.

It's just called: Kaspersky Internet Security 2010.

You probably won't find it at home since it's subscription only software, but may be you'd like to download it's trial version which will work for 30 days. Well, may be till that time you get another one. Let me know if you want to try it, I'll post the link here.

and how it will forward my yahoo messages i have gmail already ...........n jasak Allah brother in fact at ms xplorer i used to see only text veiw but now my browser is firefox i think it don't have this option

you may turn javascript off from your internet options. This will block all ads and only leave html content. although the appearance of the web page will seem ugly!

no i mean you'll see empty blocks and the format will be strange. most of them ads and banners are written in javascript code. so disable images and javascipt in firefox options and youll see empty placeholders.

for a good site where you know that images are right for you to see you can add them as exceptions. however be careful when disabling images because it makes your webpage appear unformatted and strange.

Sister there is a Ad blocker program some brothers made fesabilillah for muslims which blocks all ads... Let me look for a link inshaallah and get back to you.
