akhi the best i can tell you is that you get inner peace and tranquility if you just recite and hear it(without understanding it)but if you try to understand it you get everything!!a good frien,a shoulder to cry upon,a guider,a teacher,solution to your problems etc....i mean the meaning of the words open a whole new wrold for you!!!inshallah you'll get what i mean when you get used to it!!!

Assalamualaikum bro.
The answer is simple.
ِAs a reply Allah will love you cuz you pay attention to His Words.
You dont need anything else if He loves you.
He will suffice you.
He will help you.
And He will guide you more and more.

He says in His book, chapter 2 verse 152
"Therefore remember Me (by praying, glorifying), I will remember you, and be grateful to Me (for My countless Favours on you) and never be ungrateful to Me."


On the authority of Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him)
the Prophet p.b.u.h. said,

"Read the Quran, for indeed Allah, the Exalted, will not a punish that holds the Quran. This Quran is the banquet of Allah, and so whoever takes of it will be safe and secure; and give glad tidings to those who love the Quran."

I would never ever argue if reading the Qur'an is beneficial to us... Of course I believe it to be true. But where do we get these ideas about ten rewards for each letter we recite? Or memorizing the Qur'an gets you 10 people into heaven? I didn't read this anywhere in the Qur'an?

I'm assuming there are hadith that say this, but I wish the original poster would have included those.

Im sorry but I never posted that if you memorize the Quran you'll get 10 people to heaven? In fact i've never heard that before.

As of the reward for reciting, here's the hadith.

"Whoever reads a letter from the Book of Allah, he will have a reward. And that reward will be multiplied by ten. I am not saying that “Alif, Laam, Meem” is a letter, rather I am saying that “Alif” is a letter, “laam” is a letter and “meem” is a letter.” So increase your recitation of the Qur’an to gain these merits, and to gain the following merit as well. [Tirmidhi]

Ibne Abbas (R.A) said about the meaning of the saying of Allah the Exalted:"They recite it with rightful recitation".The meaning is that they follow it with rightful practice.
