Assalam Alaikum:

Debate in favor and against,Hijab or Niqab or Burqa will continue to go on. But irony is that even some Muslims are a party with those who oppose veiling.

Regards.

Just wanted to answer this, had enough of this topic myself and I don't want to discuss the ignorance of this woman again, but - it's not quite strange ukhti. CNN does many debates regarding current issues, and with the recent Niqaab ban in France, it makes plenty of sense actually that they would.

I wish as much could be said about Mona. Quite a sick individual, the kindest duaa I can ask is that Allaah guides her.

Sister,

I've read people arguing on TTI screaming about how there is no news coverage about Muslim issues and that's why the American people are ignorant puppets and here you ask why the American news IS debating about Muslim issues. With all do respect, isn't this debate a GOOD thing?

Wa`alaykumassalam

She is a journalist who compromised her religion for sake of fame and recognition a self made representative for Egyptian people in USA and supports Pro-Israeli agenda.

lately i notice that there's more and more people like her these days, but just like sister samiha said the least i can do is to ask Allah to guide her i guess.

Inshaa'Allah if she turns towards the straight path then she can use all same to advocate the use of niqaab

First of all.. how are you? :)

I didnt see you online for a loooong time even in messenger...
How is you life? your family?

Hope you are doing good Insha Allah :)

Well...you are correct :) ...
People say that because, we do not have our own news channels and effective media publications to spread the message of Islam....
So the Muslims are expecting the leading news channels to spread the message...
But it does not mean that they have to expose it to the world IN A DEBATE FORMAT and confuse people...
What they are doing is, ...they are picking opposite parties from a same platform and then let them debate..... and it is sounding uncomfortable to digest when they apply this formula on HIJAB issues.....

Thats why I was trying to understand.... Why they have to peep into such matters????
If those news channels are really working for the nation, then they can work to erase many political misconceptions, fake titles, and many more things which split the Ummah...

I dont argue with you sis... just talking what I feel....

plz do correct me if im wrong :)

Assalamu alaykum brother, lets not call people names, that is not right, no matter what she may be saying, we have to be respectful. We also have to understand that she is a Muslima, even if her views are wrong.

May Allah guide her and all of us to the true and right way, amin.

- Mona clearly lost that debate and alhamdulillah the sister in the video did well to defend Islamic teachings.

However, there are some issues that can be problematic, but it is not due to the wearing of the niqab or teachings of Islam. Those problems lie with some Muslims who have rushed or neglect the many important topics that Islam teaches. That make a complete Muslim.

I often meet people and help them with their problem. Recently, I met one elderly Muslim lady a few days ago, she complained about her daughter in law, who is a Palestinian sister who wears the niqab. Unfortunately, she beats her children, so much so that she was made to move back with her parents house. The children are staying with their grandmother and father. - The elderly lady said that, even though her daughter in law wears the niqab, its just like a "disguise". Its not the outside that matters, but what is within.

Some people, use these sorts of issues and bad experiences to rule out the niqab or beard. This is wrong, these things are from Islam. There are good and bad people in all walks of life, but it is wrong for any person to tell another not to practice Islam in accordance to the evidences.

At the same time, we as Muslims must look objectively and in the best interests of ourselves, families and society. We must work actively to fix any issues that can spring around us, rather than waiting and focussing on the external problems we face.

Many newly practicing Muslims not only alienate themselves from non-Muslims, but, even from their own families. Either they argue with their parents, who may stubbornly hold onto tradition / customs, or they even "cut off" from anyone they disagree with.

Others stubbornly stick to their own interpretation of the Quran and Sunnah, without gaining further knowledge and understanding. What might be fine in one situation, may not be in another. - A clear example is what happened in Saudi Arabia, when a school fire cost the lives of many girls, because the police failed to unlock the doors, because the girls were not wearing hijab.

Its important that we find a balance, and to deal with society, and each other, in the way that Islam states in the Quran and the Sunnah.

Wallahu A'lam,

assalamu alaykum
