I know a lot of people from other countries who wanted badly to come to USA...for whatever reason that may be. Maybe they think they will benefit from this country. I understand if they want to study in the University here, but just to simply live here...There is nothing special about living in these countries unless they have some sort of obsession with western society, because they think it will be easy to get money or whatever...Lol...a lot of Americans laugh at this, because a lot of Americans are loosing their jobs, and on top of it we have a bunch of foreign people coming to get work here. There is one woman I know who moved here, and after she lived here for 3 years, she wished her and her husband would have never moved here...lol...but for everyone its a different story. Maybe some people that come here get better opportunities then they did in their own country...who knows.
salaams to all
its just for money-thats the reason most people come to the US.
the US Dollar is a strong currency.
1US$= 73 Bangladeshi takas
1US$= 45 Indian Rupees
1US$= 85 Pakistani Rupees
just a few examples to show how much stronger the US$ is compared to the currency of the poorer countries. (of course, anyone with half a brain knows the US$ is actually now useless- its value has been artificially inflated.)
this is why they want to come here.
they live simply while they are in the US & save their $$$ to send home via Western Union or Moneygram. they want to build a big mansion back home & get all their brothers & sisters married.
Weddings are expensive for them due to all the stupid cultural & traditional practices they have.
others who are able to get permanent residence/Green card or citizenship save to open a business & then bring their family members over one after another.
its all about money.
they dont care so much about the "better life" or higher standard of living.
thats just cosmetic.
if tomorrow the US$ fell in value(& it will soon) & was equal to the Pakistani or Indian rupee- youd see all of them going back home-theres no reason to stay anymore.
those who have permanent residence will remain but would be looking out for which other country they can send their sons to, where the currency is stronger.
its just that they are VERY MATERIALISTIC.
if you look closely- youd see that none of them were starving back home. actually, they come from quite wealthy families.
when questioned by immigration, they lie about the suffering etc they are undergoing back home but amonst their friends- you hear the true story of where they come from etc.
and Allah ta'ala knows best
jazakallah
