Salam

Just an interesting note....

Starting Sunday in Kuwait, all the private Universities and Colleges are required by law to segregate the classrooms (males on one side, females on the other) - the government universities and colleges already do so. There are many who are upset about this; there are just as many who are pleased.

There will not be separate campus' thereby between classes the males and females will be in the same hallways, cafeterias, libraries, etc.

What are your opinions of this law for private univerisities and colleges?

Salam alaikum.
I think it's a good move. It's still one class with the same facilities and teaching quality, but with a little less distraction.

Well if the guys and girls are still in the same room, I don't know how much of a difference it will make. But maybe I'm wrong.....sure it's a good step.

All mosques that I've been to have a men's and women's section, ie different rooms. Education is where you should be focusing not looking at the opposite sex, not everyone one does, but it's prevention.:wasalam:

Salaam,

People are not aware of what the Western woman complains of today and the negative repercussions that the open mixing of sexes has brought upon her, upon men, the family and the whole society. Every nation has its personality that is formed by its beliefs and visualized it to the universe, life, existence and the God of existence, as well as its values, heritage and customs. Muslim countries do not have to copy Western ideologies. Copying someone else doesn't always make it seem that they are right. A lesson I learned when I was in school and I use to copy a friends homework.

Whatever small good actions you take the better it is for a society to live a moral and conductive life. Of course we mix in the hallways, libraries, or even in the street, but these small actions taken have huge positive impacts down the line.

The meeting of men and women is not 'haraam' but is acceptable or required if the objective was participation in a noble cause, related to useful knowledge or good deeds, or a beneficial project or a necessary 'jihaad', or otherwise of the activities that need combining the efforts of the two sexes and cooperation between them in the planning, direction and execution. TTI is a example.

it is good idea mashallah but why they haven't done it before. I think it is still better than males and females sitting next to each other. may Allah give the Islamic countries rulers the ability to rule by the shariah law.

:ma:this is a good idea!! It will remove the fitnah. But one who truly wants to study, education will be his/her only focus anyway and nothing else. There is so much going on, this is a step in the right direction, Alhamdullilah!:hearts:
